Corporate please read: Why isn't anyone having a meeting with the DMV staff about their attitude and lack of professionalism? Why not start firing and adding new, motivated, positive staff? Why are all of these negative reviews seem to be getting ignored? If they do not like their job please get rid of them. Everyone is already having a hard lot and the last thing we need is mistreatment. Do something.

I don't think you can but I'm not 100% sure. I know you can renew a registration and do paperwork transactions.

If you have your previous ID then yes if not then no. When you go to the DMV floor their going to give you a requirement paper that should tell what are the other options you can bring in for you to get a replacement for your ID.
You're birthday is tomorrow, not today, you can go to DMV today and enjoy your birthday tomorrow. Once your license is updated you're available to drive. On the other hand, the only "temp" licence is the driver permit and you do not apply for this now.
