No but if you make a reservation your skis will be sitting there waiting for you and you won't have to stand in line waiting. You'll need at least 10 people. No group discount but the skis will be set and waiting. January 3rd is after the crazy Christmas/New Year's rush so you should have a great time and no real crowds.
