My friend told me that since I'm homeless that I can apply for emergency foodstamps. I was just wondering if it was true?

I have never been in a situation where i have had to do that in the state of Texas-however, I have done that before in the state of Michigan AND in the state of Washington BOTH---in each state i DID RECEIVE AN EMERGENCY CARD AND FUNDING. So my best guess is that the same is true for Texas as well.....

Call Texas Human Resources they will help you with different government programs. If you are homeless you need an address even if you to the weekly motel. From my understanding you can contact the state of Michigan and the will give you a referral in Texas so you can continue government assistance.
