3 days here. Secluded and so much to do and see here. We will definitely be back. The scheduling was easy over the phone. Met a park Ranger…very kind and helpful. Full hookups including sewer. No internet but will have it just about everywhere else you drive to. Absolutely a beautiful area. UPDATE: We noticed a set of keys was missing after we arrived at our next location which is about 2 hours away. Just got a phone call from Ainsworth State Park asking if we are missing some keys, and they’re putting them in the mail to us. Thank you, to all who are involved‼️😀💜

One of my favorite campgrounds. Beautiful area. Thanks to Firefighters the park was saved from the massive Eagle Creek Fire. The campground has very nice pull through sites with full hookups. Plenty to do in the area. Multnomah Falls is close by. Bonneville Dam has a really cool Fish Hatchery that is worth going to. Portland is close enough you can go to the zoo or OMSI.

Park was very nice, clean & camping spots were large & mostly level, didn't take much to level out our 37 ft. trailer. Only downfall is the trains at night if you are a light sleeper. We really enjoyed our stay.

Visited in the Spring. Great campground with shaded sites. Some campsites are not level, but the sites are on asphalt. Located right off the scenic highway of most of the waterfalls. Has a nice area for children to play at and an area for to hike. Very quiet. Clean restrooms. Will come again.

We stayed at the campground which didn't have a day use facility, other spots in the Park had picnic tables, but I don't remember seeing any grills.
Yes, on leash (6' max) unless inside your RV. I was there a couple days ago.
There most likely is tent space, I'm sure how much though. Google search might be able to answer more in depth.
Campfires are dependent on the level of current fire danger. Always check the park website for current info. The park does have fire rings.
$29 is for Oregon residents, non residents pay more.
Yes. Your best bet is to speak with the camp host to find out what ones are available
Yes:)
Close by at Benson park
1/4 mile + you have to cross I-84 and train tracks
Check-in is at 4pm, check-out is 1pm.
Yes. Unlike bigger campgrounds, there's a kiosk to the right as you enter the park. We didn't realize that's where to pay for an extra vehicle until the Ranger came by to check us in.
Not sure which trail's are back open but the scenic highway is open and at least some of the trails if not all have reopened since the fire
This is not Ainsworth park.....its more like a mapping site.. .and sometimes one of us might know the answer to a particular question... unfortunately you might have to actually go to the parks and rec web site....or Ainsworth Park website....😊
Less than 1/4 mile directly accross from Ainsworth Park same road in is the fishery, a older private camping area which has boat ramp for launching into Columbia river. Good fishing there as well have to pay to park but plenty river acess. Water is very swift there have seen kite board surfers there never seen kyacker.
Its closed do to the fire last fall. The trails are closed they are still unsafe to hike on. The campground is open. But all area's in and out of the campground are closed for public safety.
It is open, you can check in any time. The road is blocked off and manned so if you have reservations you can get in any time. I just left last week.
Not in Ainsworth but just a bit down the road there's a spot called Goverment Cove.
Campground is open. Trails are not. Have a copy of your reservation ready for the guard at the road block. Have to enter from the East as the Old Hwy is closed coming in from the West.
Called them, and they said no. Hiker/biker spots are not open.
No wifi but has service. I had no problems with Verizon
Yes the campgrounds are open. Stayed there for a couple weeks last month. You'll have to enter from the east end of the Old Hwy. Have your reservation ready on your phone or printed out. There will be someone on the road before the park checking for reservations before allowing you past the road block
$5 for day use. Free if you camp.
