Have to find another vet to get meds for my dog Jackie. No call back and took over two days to get someone on the phone to make appointment. Appointment was to far out, near a month.

Absolutely god awful. At every turn made it more difficult to get my dog the care he needed. Put him on a very high dose of a medication that is terrible for his liver. Never gave me the facts about how harmful the medication was. (Also caused severe weight gain that they proceeded to tell me was very unhealthy for my dog) doctor refused to speak to me about these problems. ( i tried to find a solution with her at first and she gave me a 500$ prescription that was way out of my price range) DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE. Overpriced and terrible service.

This facility has so many issues I don’t know where to begin. When I made my first appointment for my kitten the staff were rude and unkind. They were even snickering to each other complaining about me coming up to the clinic through the PetSmart entrance right in front of me. This clinic also schedules out more than a month. Another awful thing about this clinic is you cannot get ahold of them. They are doing curbside drop off/pick up and they never answer the phone. I had to wait 30 min in the parking lot for someone to answer to pick up my pet for his scheduled appointment. Just yesterday I had someone answer my call just to hang up on me. When I called back no answer. I can understand delays due to staffing but the attitude here really sucks. I decided to move my cats care to the Cat and Dog Hospital of Portland and they answered immediately, scheduled within the week, and were super helpful. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the Veterinarians themselves were pleasant and helpful.

Make sure to cancel your insurance after your 12 months they roll it into another 12month contract with no notice. But other wise they perform a good service. Other than they play on your emotions and try to upsell everything with over priced medicatons. I'd say if you can wait for meds to order online 1/4 of the price.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 17, 2020
Banfield Pet Hospital | Aug 17, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).

My dog (Bela, male, 17 mos.) has been licking his foot excessively lately. I noticed yesterday that his paw pad has a piece of skin hanging loose in a small circle. Will this heal? Do I need to do anything please? Thanks. Have a nice day.

Do contact the hospital directly. We are volunteer guides and don't work for the companies. Good luck with your fury friend.
