Wonderful hotel. Very clean, amazingly friendly staff who went above and beyond. The rooms were large and clean, beds were comfortable. Close to downtown, but without the noise. But the best part is the staff. Everyone of them were so nice. We got to breakfast late and still got to eat, front desk had actually conversations with us and the night security guard chatted with us and was so helpful. If we are ever back in KC, we will be back. 100% recommend!

We were going to stay here but some friends of ours were closer to the hotel down the road. We got there and tried to cancel our reservation, which the front desk had no problem with. But then I got a cancellation email saying we would owe 200 dollars for the room even though we weren’t staying there, after they told us there would be no fee to cancel. Not very friendly service. Not to mention the hotel looked very run down and not very safe, my wife and kids were saying daddy idk if we want to stay here! The hotel down the road was way newer and cost less money for a better room. Which was also a holiday in, wouldn’t recommend at all to spend money with this hotel.

I gave this 5 stars because of the customer service. Everyone was absolutely wonderful and helpful, especially Jamillah at the front desk. Kudos to her and the team. As far as the hotel itself, check your expectations. This is not a luxury hotel so don't expect that. It is what it states to be - a decent place for a nice rest. I slept wonderfully in a nice room and I can see staying there again

I stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights during the last week of 2021. This was my second stay at this property so I have an experience to compare this recent one with. The hotel is decent, staff is excellent, the room I had was fairly clean and the breakfast was good for a hotel breakfast. It was nice to see hotel cleaning staff every day which does seem to be more and more rare compared to other places I have stayed in 2021. However, there were some issues with this stay compared to my stay here 2 years ago. The pool area was kept at a room temp in the 60's, which when you get out of a pool, is freezing to me. The thermostat was in a locked case so there was no way to adjust. To be upfront though, I did not ask for the room temp to be adjusted. Another issue was stink bugs, or another similar bug, in the room. I found 4 in my room during my stay and I just took care of it. It wasnt a huge deal for me but I did let the front desk staff know about it at check out. The hotel sits right next to a grassy / wooded area so I get that there are just some bugs that will be in a building during this time of year. Overall, my stay was decent but it did seem that there has been at least a slight decline in the quality of the hotel compared to my previous stay. I would consider staying at this property again in the future if I'm in the area.
