So many good hikes here. I highly recommend just showing up and picking a random trail. Many are listed in All trails app as well.

Challenging incline for this shorter hike, but well worth the amazing mountainous views at the top!

Love this trail! This is a very short and difficult hike but it has beautiful, amazing views! It's a very challenging trail and I believe van do this! Dont think because is just 1 mile is a piece of cake but don think to give up either 😉My first time I said 1 mile? Cool! But after half mile I was thinking to go back🙈but patiently I did it and damn the view was spectacular! Very steep and some stairs close to the top since that day not idea how many times I already hike this amazing trail❤Just in case Kwaay Paay trail is located by the dam in Mission Trails

Beautiful scenery, trails for all difficulty levels and not too far from home. It gets busy on the Holidays so arrive early to find parking. Also, the conservation center has a lot of information and historical reconstructions.

Questions & Answers

Is it easy to walk for a really out of shape person?

The trail is very steep in places, and there are areas with quite a few steps. If an out of shape person is patient and brings a lot of water, they can do it. If a person is quite obese then I would say they run a good chance of injuring themselves by slipping on the way back down. For sake of conversation, a fit person can go up in 20-30 minutes. Generally healthy but out of shape, I'd say 40-50 minutes going up. I don't want to discourage any body. At least go and look at it, and take the trail as far as you're comfortable, then do a little bit more the next time :)

Yes you can bring your dog but it must be on a six foot leash. At the start of the trail there's black plastic bags for pickup after your pet.

Where is the running water on the left of kwaay paay park border and running under the bridge comming from?

With all the recent rains, every spring in the area is overflowing
