It’s sad really, this place is actually very nice and fun and I really thought that was due to the team work the staff put it in there. Unfortunately that is not the case here as upper management does not seem to have much depth in their work ethic. I would say normal people but subpar management although, the current activities director is very caring and compassionate to the residents. Such a nice community, I hope to hear back soon. UPDATE: The situation is just getting more sad. It seems this untrustworthy and lying director must not realize there are laws in place from what she’s trying to do. I was hired on as the next director of activities, then they want me in the kitchen and when I say I want to primarily focus on activities (Which is what I was hired for) she said it wouldn’t work out, I made aware of my transition from a new state and willingly worked 2 weeks in a department I wasn’t applying for. As you can see from these other reviews it’s nothing new. When you get negative feedback constantly, it might be because you don’t do anything positive. Just a thought.

I have lived at the Bonaventure of Tigard for 4 years and have found it to be a very friendly, warm place. We have a wonderful activity group and have many outings so we can learn more about Oregon. I came from California so Oregon is new to me. Another nice feature is to have coffee early in the morning in the cafe. Then we occasionally have pastry treats at 10 AM and we have and use a frozen yogurt machine. Lots of people like this feature. On Wednesday afternoon we have a Happy Hour with outside musicians come in to serenade us. Quite often we will have wine and some time treats with the music. A warm and friendly place with a lot of activity.

I have worked with Bonaventure for almost 2 years now. It’s a wonderful establishment. The team members are amazing along with the wonderful residents. Everyone is kind and truly makes a difference, I couldn’t see myself working anywhere else. The environment is warm and welcoming from the minute you walk through the doors.

Our family has had experience with other Independent and Assisted Living facilities and we have been pleasantly surprised at the kindness of the staff AND the residents. My mom has felt very at home here, making friends and enjoying the activities Bonaventure has to offer. She suffers from memory/confusion issues and everyone has been so caring and understanding. Mom always comments on how clean Bonaventure is and how nicely the grounds are kept. We (her family) is grateful to have a found a place where our mom feels safe and happy.
