OFB beans and snap peas cold packing tonight. Doug is a great lead. Everyone worked hard to get food packed and ready to be shared with the community.b

I think it's really cool what the food bank does for the community. It is also definitely the place I would recommend going to if there was ever a zombie apocalypse considering their stockpile.

Oregon food bank is a great organization that serves those in need in our local community and our state. The staff is very friendly and out-going, they are always well organized at any volunteer event they have. The facility is clean, organized and well-thought-out.

Went here with a group to volunteer for a 2.5 hour shift. The staff were helpful and friendly and did a good job of keeping things organized. There are lockers for you to store your valuables when you're working. Nice and clean facility. Be sure to park directly in front of the building. Staff mentioned the surrounding offices like to ticket and tow if you park in their areas.

You can donate online by going to "give.oregonfoodbank.org" You should find options for a one time donation, as well as the ability to set up a recurring monthly donation!
We've taken a number of steps to ensure the health and safety of our community and the broader foodstream — including a pause on centralized processing of consumer-donated food and supplies. That said, many of the 1,400+ local food assistance sites in the Oregon Food Bank Network accept individual donations of food and other essentials. Find a location near you at https://foodfinder.oregonfoodbank.org.
Thank you for the question, Abigael! In an effort to localize our operations, we're asking all donations of consumer-purchased foods to be directed to the Oregon Food Bank Network partner agency closest to you. You can find the ones in your area at oregonfoodfinder.org, or reach out to our regional food banks listed here: oregonfoodbank.org/find-support/food-support-network. Please reach out to them to ask about their preferred donation methods, times and locations. For the greatest impact, though, we highly encourage financial support. Those types of donations truly help us do the most good for our community. For every $1, the Oregon Food Bank Network is able to provide folks enough food for 3 meals. We would also encourage you to reach out to a pantry or regional food bank near you to see what they most need, financial support or otherwise. Thank you for your work to help us end hunger here in Oregon and Clark County, WA. Take care!
I am so sorry for your loss. Yeah, they'll take the cans if they haven't expired, so you're all good to go.
No, you can't. You are supposed to go there to volunteer and help pack food for the needy, not get food yourself. So, I would advise you not to ask for food while vollunterring, unless you are in need of food.
Oregon Food Bank supports 21 regional food banks and 1,400+ pantries, free food markets and meal sites across the state. Many local food assistance sites offer drive-up and/or delivery options. Find a location and contact info near you at https://foodfinder.oregonfoodbank.org.
At least 6 yrs old but you need a parent consent form.
Go in and talk to them.
The Oregon food bank at 1870 nw 173 ave is where they prep food to go to local distribution centers to help those in need. They don't give out food at this location.
They distribute food to agencies. Call them and they can refer you to a food pantry in your area.
They don't have to be 12 unless it's a 12+ event. Also, you can't bring the extra 10 people, sorry. The reason is because the room or area is only possible to accommodate 50 people. So yeah, you can ask the food bank staff yourself if you've taken all the spots and if you guys can have 10 more, since you took all the spots. Other than that, though, you won't be able to bring the other 10.
Yes, you have to first create a profile in the Oregon Food Bank site, then use the volunteer calendar to choose a date, time, and location.
