What I love about the Assistance League is that they good quality items for great prices and they help support kids in our community. When I need something for a party I always am able to find something I need and so convenient. And the staff is all volunteer and I appreciate their hard work. I have found some great books, pants, and other items over the years! Even a brand new pair of shoes one time! Great place to shop! Would highly recommend it!

Super kind staff all working as volunteers, and a really wonderful business. They have both a thrift and consignment store, and out the back they operate many programs that benefit the people in the portland metro area. Great place to donate!

I am in the process of moving to a new state and do not want to bring along a bunch of furniture. After trying to sell on Craigslist with limited success (almost nothing sells for over $75 no matter how good it is!), I started looking for a consignment shop. What I found was that very few consignment shops will take older furniture, i.e. anything manufactured more than 10 years ago. The thing that separates AL from other consignment shops is they'll accept older furniture as long as it is in very good condition - no junk of course. I have found the staff to be both pleasant and reasonable to work with. At the end of each month, they cut me a check for a percentage of the selling price. I have found my percentage cut to be very competitive compared to other consignment shops. Assistance League is staffed by volunteers, and their proceeds go to support programs for children, so buying at Assistance League supports a good cause.
