Where do I start? It was cheap to stay here at $90/night based on the online deal I got. Our room had no room number tag on it. In fact, the wall had no marking where one had ever been mounted. It just didn't have one. This hotel is showing its age. Floor tiles in the bathroom were cracked and missing grout. Bed linens were very thin, albeit clean. I chose this place because of its proximity to our destination and reviews showing it was very clean. While it was technically "clean" it was fairly beat up. It's overdue for a remodel. Every night we were shorted bath towels. We had 4 people in the room and every day were given either 2 or 3 towels. We had to ask for an extra towel or two every single day during a 5-6 night stay. Staff was very friendly about it, but that's just annoying having to remind them every day that we had 4 people in the room. Outside of the entry way to the hotel most of areas were showing their age. The only photos I apparently took were of the breakfast room. Quite honestly this is the best thing going for this place. Each morning breakfast was fairly decent.

Positive: The continental breakfast was excellent with scrambled eggs and sausage, oatmeal, yogurt, waffles, breads. Very attentive staff in the breakfast room. Excellent staff at the front desk. Rooms nicely equipped & had quiet A/C with constant-fan feature. Negative: The pool needed more cleaning. There were pieces of the nearby palm trees in the bottom of the pool and the water looked cloudy. Also, the room was fairly clean, but along the edges of the bed platform there were food particles on the carpet.

Three stars is a mid level rating not disappointing and not surprisingly great. That is average in my book, as it indicates my expectations were met. The room was physically clean and smelled clean and fresh but not chemically. The bed was comfortable and clean as well. All in all the stay was fine. The hotel is near I-10, so there is some road noise, again as expected. The noise, however, was not bothersome to me. So, in summary, a solid three star or average, as expected, rating. Disappointing me results in lost stars. A pleasant surprise will earn an added star or, if exceptional, two.

This hotel was a great place to stay the night on our trip home. The room was super clean along with the rest of the hotel. The breakfast in the morning was hot and the front desk clerk kept the breakfast room spotless, he cleaned after every guest filled their plates and finished eating. It was so nice to be in such a clean facility with friendly attentive staff. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Worth every penny.
