I barely give negative review, but I have to this time. I was placing a large order ($400+) for my a seminar of our school and waited for more than 2 hours to get the order done since only the manger can handle tax exemption. They told me it can be delivered at the first place but then they change their mind saying it's too late. So far it was okay, and I just waited in the shop for another 1 hour before they called my name. When the employee called my name, they said it is 2-3 bags, and I trusted so . I was asking about utensils, but they just went straight to a phone call. I picked up the bags and ran into my car since it was already late for the seminar. However, when we started unpacking, we found a bunch of food missing. I had to run back to the shop. However, when I arrived, before I said anything, the employees start street blaming me, saying there are always 5 bags and I just left 2 behind. At this point it was not about the food or money. I told them they said 3 bags and then they changed the words to "oh we said 3 to 5 bags". I wasn't really mad until this happened. What kind of sloppiness and arrogance was that. I should have checked the order myself, but given the ridiculous portion reduction after covid and the time limit back then, I didn't think about it. I might have contributed to the snafu, but if they didn't just call me the food was done when it was actually NOT, and they didn't just go straight to a phone call when help packing my order, this would not have happened. Besides, without saying anything sorry, they just went straight complain the customer. Well done.

The food was great, but not worth for the money. This should be considered as one of the $$$ restaurants. It’s pretty expensive considering the food and ambience of the restaurant. If the owner reads this change your menu to a reasonable price, rather than making your customers just non Indian people.

Saw the great reviews when they first opened and had our first go. Wish I'd read the recent reviews bc I'd also give 0 on food and quality for price. We came in to the space to order, seemed realitively busy but as we sat waiting noticed the substancial amount of pick up orders that made a 30 minute wait time. That's ok yet finding a moldy tomato in my salad is not. The protein bowl lacked protein and skimped on both rice and greens, the photos made it look much more substantial and seriously why wouldn't all the bowls add roasted vegetables at that price? The lamb wrap definitely did not match the description either. The samosa appetizer isn't worth it from my experience with traditional Indian, mainly a fried dough knot with the idea of a filling. Underwhelming is putting it lightly. Highly do not recommend.

According to Choolaah's website, "Choolaah is the vision of co-CEO’s Raji Sankar and Randhir Sethi of Pittsburgh-based Wholesome International." Which is a larger restaurant development company operating and based in Pittsburgh and Northeast Ohio.
There is a parking lot next to the restaurant, first 45 minutes are free!
