The hotel was fine. We like the location outside of Columbus. It still had some restaurants and activities around and that was nice. The hotel has a restaurant inside that you can pay extra to get breakfast, but we opted out. The rooms were a fair size, but the cleanliness was a little questionable. It was clear that the bathroom wasn't cleaned before moving in with multiple "things" on the shower curtain, shower wall, and toilet. I would advise to just check over everything before settling in.

The only redeeming quality of this hotel is the pillows and blanket were soft and comfortable. Other than that, I would not recommend even as just a place to rest your head. We practically had to beg for the 2 free waters from the front desk. They advised they were no longer left in rooms due to Covid. One male was extremely rude when my mom asked for her waters and made her wait 10 minutes to "verify" her room number. The front desk girls where nice; however, other ground employees were extremely rude. Only one elevator worked. There were times we waited 30 minutes...there are only 6 floors! Which led me to believe there were more issues than just one elevator being in service! So, I decided to use the stairs. BIG MISTAKE! There was graffiti and vomit in the stairwell. Trash everywhere. Outside lights were smashed and broken. The pool water was ice cold. And a few outside doors keys did not work on so you had to walk around. And digital keys took 2-3 minutes to unlock. Never saw the free breakfast, though we would not have eaten there after seeing the state of this place. As for the room: There was no rest be you could hear everyone from the atrium. The toilet in our room was broken and glued back together. The overall cleanliness was inadequate. (Pictures on trip advisor) As a Hilton Honors Gold member...I can say the Double Tree was severely lacking compared to standards I am used to in a Hilton. I'm ready to switch to Marriott's.

I read reviews before I got to this hotel ( posted about one month before my arrival) And I called the last day of my cancel date to see if the issue of broken elevators and broken hot tub were repaired. I was assured they were. When I got there, one elevator was not working and the hot tub was roped off and out of order. The reviews also warned of a breakfast that would be much less then it was a few years ago including continually running out of food. (I’ve been going to this hotel for several years except the last 2 for sports venue). When we got to breakfast they were out of several items. The breakfast disappointment was their closing of the omelette bar. I told my guests to expect a great breakfast. The hotel is now also very worn and Disheveled. Whoever is managing it does not have an eye for details. Some might say the worst of the underperformance was the 3 of the 5 cookies were burnt. I told my guests to get another one but they are the type of people that find it rude to ask. That speaks volumes to the importance of good management and staff cooperation in getting this first impressions correct. My cookie was good but 3 others did not start off impressed. This hotel is no more then a 3/5 rating my friends. I have a 2 because of my experience with a front desk employee attending to her phone as I waited momentarily to receive help. (I was the only one at the desk). She did resolve my issue but I felt I was putting her out the whole time. On a favorable note, the room was clean and the climate and comfort excellent but there was a little mold in tub. I paid a discount rate of 90.00. In this economy, this was probably what each room should be charged. They need management that pays attention to the details, speaks honestly and the Hilton company to update this place. Just Be aware it’s at best a 3/5 hotel

First of all, the hotel was extremely busy and only one of the elevators was working. Secondly, I entered into a subpar room that was lazily cleaned. The bathroom looked disheveled. There was no toilet paper in the room. The mini fridge wasn’t plugged up so I went as far as to plug it up (these rooms haven’t been thoroughly cleaned in what seems like years, there was dust, crumbs and debris all behind and in the entertainment stand) and the mini fridge didn’t work. I went down to the front desk and asked for toilet paper and towels (they only put one set of clean towels in the room, and still no toilet paper) and I was made to wait over two hours. My sister went back to the front desk and was told “the housekeepers only have enough towels for their assigned rooms, we’ll send someone up there.” The people at the front desk did not move or try to assist us. Also, I went to take a nap and I had to get up three times to make sure my door was still locked. In each case, the lock had been tampered with and turned. I ended up checking out at 2am because I didn’t feel safe staying at that point. I’ve called customer service 2 times after i filed the complaint with corporate and the property manager hasn’t followed up with their customer service team or me. I was told it would be 3-5 business days and I haven’t heard a thing.

I plan to attend a meeting there on a Sat. in Feb. Is there a group discount available?

I would ask the host of your event, group rates are often given to the booking agent by the sales department to give to attendees. I often find though that you can locate better pricing on your own.
