This "hotel" was horrible. An absolute disaster from start to finish. It deserves zero stars. My family and I (me, wife, 2 year old daughter, plus 2 grandparents) were booked into two rooms for 3 nights from 06/13/22 - 06/16/22. The place was so bad we left after only one night. The rooms were dirty. Both showers were broken and unusable. Carpets were ancient and ragged. Our toilet seat wasn't attached to the toilet and the toilet itself barely flushed. The safety lock on our door was missing. Curtains didn't close all the way and were ripped. The mattresses on the beds felt like they were made of foam. If you lay down on them, you sank. When we arrived we were greeted by the sight of countless people standing around smoking. Supposedly this is a no smoking hotel, but the smell of cigarette (and other) smoke filled the air for most of our short stay. During the night someone banged on the door of our room and woke us all up. The banging continued for quite some time. It happened at around 11:40 pm. I tried calling the front desk but couldn't get through to anyone. Whoever it was continued to bang on our door another 2 or 3 times. Needless to say, the lack of a safety lock did not go down well and none of us slept through the night. In the morning we grabbed our things and got the hell out of there. Long story short: The place smelled, was dirty, and felt extremely unsafe.

The rooms are nice. A little updated and in good shape. This hotel is a little overpriced for the quality of the rooms, but all hotels seemed to be way overpriced in the area. This was one of the more affordable options in the area and is was a good pick for us and the dogs. They didn't charge extra for the dogs which was nice. The area around the hotel seemed fine as well. The breakfast was good. Waffles, biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs were the hot items. A couple of cereals, toast and bagels were also available.

We just had an overnight stay but I must say the place is in fire need of up grading and cleaning. The beds were comfortable and clean but the bathroom was disgusting. The pool was also dirty but did have a cute family of ducks swimming in it. The best experience was the breakfast room! So many options from waffles to scrambled eggs, sausage, all kind of bread assortments, fresh fruit Andi could go on and on. The staff kept it fresh and fully stocked even for us late eaters. Just a shame the rooms weren't more updated but the front desk staff was outstanding and offered us a discount and upgrade on our next stay.

This has to be the worst dump I’ve stayed at. 3 night stay. First off, this place is dirty and in serious need of repair. Broken elevator was supposed to be repaired next day, it was never fixed. Breakfast was in a bag. Air conditioner unit had light on that the filter needed cleaned. Dirty carpet, looked like it wasn’t vacuumed. Carpet had rips with wood floor exposed. When you stepped on it, there was a sharp object. There was black mold in every crevice of the tile in the bathtub. Bathroom light flickered for 10 seconds before it would come on. Bathroom faucet on sink leaked. I called down for tissues because we were out and I was advised to come get them. No housekeeping service for the three nights we stayed. I called down and was assured we would have service daily. Checked mattress for bed bugs and found dark coffee stains on mattress and box spring. Ants were found under the laminated channel guide. And, to top it off, the room smelled of stale urine. When I checked out, the nice lady told me that this room was highly sought after because it was there “best room”. I was dumbfounded. Can’t believe that this dump cost over $500 for three days. I’m giving it one star because the desk staff was friendly.

I think so but it may involve a deposit
No smoking inside the rooms but they smell like smoke anyway. You can smoke outside.
No, no pets allowed
The closest beach is Lido Key beach which is 13-15 minute drive. And Siesta Key Beach is about 17 minute drive.
It is a safe place and there are sidewalks, however the area is busy. The nearby hospital and Tamiami Trail are both very busy, so it's not really a great area to walk a dog.
There is free parking. However, the parking spaces designated for persons with disabilities are not directly outside the guest rooms. Entering and exiting with luggage may create a problem for the disabled.
Should be posted on pool fence.
