Stay was great! Service was great! Friendly staff was great! Clean rooms! The Manager David was a star . Great customer service very attentive and quick to help with whatever you need. Location is not far from main attractions and low traffic so big plus there. We enjoyed our stay and will be back at this hotel next time we are in Sarasota.

First, I will state that the staff we encountered were very friendly and accommodating, however the hotel overall needs a major overhaul. The room was a standard run of the mill room, but trying to operate the damn TV will drive you mad. The AC was a solid 5 stars, that thing pumped out some cold air!!!! I would assume that the HVAC unit for the atrium and hallways was down during our stay as it was very warm in those areas. The fitness center is dated and the cardio machines are in poor condition, in fact there was water leaking on to the floor from a moldy hole in the roof, clearly this has been going on for some time. The bed was very comfortable. They were painting the outside of the hotel during this time.

I can no longer, in good conscience, continue to recommend this hotel. Their customer relations are non-existent and the General Manager makes false accusations. I would tell you that there are several nearby hotels with comparable or perhaps even lower rates. I myself suggest trying the Hilton Garden Inn by the Sarasota Airport. They have excellent customer support and will go out of their way to accommodate you. Additionally, this Hilton gets 5 stars for cleanliness.

Photos do not represent this hotel at all!! Coffee maker didn't work (staff never replaced it after they said they would). Restaurant didn't serve food just a few bar food items. Bar closed down at 9pm and only basic drinks or beer, no frozen drinks or specialty drinks. Furniture (couches, chairs) in the room as well as throughout the hotel was worn & stained. Piles of cigarettes by the bench at the front entrance, parking lot landscaping trashy. The indoor pool and jacuzzi could be great but it too was dirty. Gym equipment rusted and dirty. The beautiful fire pit area is highly misrepresented. No umbrellas, pillows, cushions barely any seating, paint chipped off of everything. Staff was ok but didn't take care of any of the issues brought to their attention. Very disappointing
