*** LOVE! LOVE! LOVE this Aloft Hotel*** Beautiful property in Sarasota. The moment you walk in you’ll fall in love with this property. The lobby is modern and has a great vibe. Love the music, the colors, the bar area, you name it! Rooms are clean, modern and spacious with great amenities such as complimentary in room bottled water (2 per day), free in room coffee, also free unlimited shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. The pool and spa was amazing as well. The location of the property is outstanding. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. The only thing lacking in the room is having hooks to hang the towels. There’s only one hook, which it was a bit frustrating. Overall experience was tops and the staff was super friendly, courteous and professional. Will definitely love to stay here again!

Exquisite hotel! Perfect, peaceful night stay. Superb, friendly service. Really cool, unique hotel in the heart of downtown Sarasota. The location is perfect for all downtown events and activities. Numerous dining and shopping options within an easy walk from the hotel. The beach is only a few blocks away! The hotel facilities are immaculate and well maintained. A boutique style hotel with a fun, unique, sleek, modern decor and design. My guestroom was much larger than the average hotel guestroom. The bath and vanity area was huge! Absolutely, my favorite guestroom design and floor plan to date ( I've visited many, many hotels!) My guestroom had two comfortable, queen beds; large, flat screen TV, mini refrigerator, safe, work desk and chair, two large windows and lots options for lighting. The vanity area was large, lots of room to spread out your toiletries. A separate room with toilet and large, glass shower. Totally impressed with this unique, clean, friendly hotel. The hotel staff associates were very friendly and efficient. Although I didn't experience all of the hotel's amenities, there are many found here. My colleagues reported the pool was wonderful. There is a "grab & go" convenience area with beverages and a few food items. Although I don't play pool, there is very nice pool table adjacent to the lobby, as well as a business center. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member, and I was unfamiliar with the Aloft Hotel Brand. However, now that I have discovered it, I will be on the lookout for future stays! This hotel receives my highest recommendation!! Enjoy!!

Contemporary urban style budget hotel with lobby bar and adjacent snack pantry. No bell service nor room service. Rooftop pool. Wife and I stayed 3 nights for a wedding. Rooms are well planned, allow for space around the king bed, but lack drawers; only two in dressing / sink area. No desk, but a work counter that spans the room's width. Closet is tight. Bottom line, if you travel light and don't need the services of a standard hotel, this works. Plenty of electrical outlets. If you have more than a couple of bags and prefer to not live out of your suitcase, go elsewhere.

Disappointed since we had other expectations based on the review prior to staying at Aloft. First of all, make sure to park on the street, Sarasota has free overnight parking and you can avoid the $18/night valet fee. The valet that was there when we arrived on 2/13 gave very poor service, did not open the door for either of us or help with our bags and was very adamant about tipping which I found strange since it's well known that you tip a valet (or anyone really) AFTER the service is done. Why would I tip you before I get my car back? Especially when he didn't do anything that a typical valet would help with other than the bare minimum. This didn't bother me but I didn't like how pushy he was for a tip. He even told us it was his only day working that week to coerce us to tip him before the service and we literally saw him there a day later. The front desk staff were great, and the gym was very good especially for a hotel. These were our favorite parts. Our room was unfortunately very dirty, I am going to try to attach some pictures to see. This is how it looked when we arrived. I hope that Aloft takes this feedback to improve and give other people better experiences.
