Overall, I have been here for half a year and my experience has been very positive. I have read that fire alarm is a constant issue here but to be honest, for the past 6 months, I have experience a few false fire alarm going off but it never at a time that would inconvenient me (aka night). Staff has been extremely diligent on rectifying the problem and communicate clearly of what the cause was and how they plan to tackle it in the future. I also think that the event planner, who is Dylan, has been exceptional. I always find plenty of event planned throughout the week and had a great time attending them. I always appreciate Dylan for putting in tons of effort for these event and listening to resident inputs for planning future event.

I love living here. Just renewed again for a fourth lease term. The location is great, amenities are recently updated and the management is very involved. We have some issues, sure. Namely with the call boxes and elevators going out for longer than I think they should. But overall I’m very happy living here. The post-pandemic resident events have been so great this year, once restrictions lifted. It helped me in knowing my neighbors again, and really builds a better sense of community and inclusion, instead of the isolation lockdowns put us through. It’s definitely the highlight of our current management

Update 3/22/2022 First off I just want to thank 1000 S Broadway for allowing me to find my next apartment. Your unprofessional, emotional, and completely out of touch renewal response is all I needed. I'm approaching 3 years here and you treat your loyal residents like inflated cashiers checks. Some words for those of you looking here at their questionably low prices and specials...its been 8 days since a car has been stolen from the garage (that I'm aware of). Might be a new record. I dunno. But you should ask management the count to date. It’s high. The fire alarm claims are all true. They will increase your rent by 11% if you plan on renewing your lease btw. They used to claim ownership/oversee the “dog park” across the street. They dont, you are not protected. I look forward to your fake, (Deer resident….it’s the same reply as below) canned reply from the person sitting at their desk likely contemplating leaving your organization. Oh btw you’ll need ear plugs living here from you upstairs neighbor 4/17 they are raising prices again

The worst place I've ever had the misfortune of living in. Honest reviews are important and I only hope that future renters don't make the same mistake we made by choosing to live in this community. These apartments do have pros to them albeit not many. The units themselves are functional and well designed. Big windows, high ceilings, nice appliances and we never had anything break on us or cause any issues ( other than our AC breaking for 4 days in the middle of summer). Maintenance as well was extremely responsive and quick to any minor in-unit problems we experienced. Everything else outside of the individual units is a disaster to put lightly. The building is filled with old school air-siren like fire alarms that go off frequently at all times of the day due to extremely faulty electrical wiring within the building. These fire alarms are piercing loud beyond explanation, so bad so that my tinnitus got worse and worse and my partner and I needed to keep shooter's ear muffs by us at all times to protect from the loudness of the alarms. Not once in six months did these alarms go off because of an actual danger or fire, in fact every time they did go off it seemed to be for a different reason every time. These reasons include but are not limited to: carbon monoxide levels in the pool, electrical wiring failure, repair vendors, carpet cleaners, broken pipes bursting, and "residents vaping." The frequency of these alarms resulted in my partner and I seeking therapy and being prescribed anti-anxiety medication because of the unhealthy levels of stress that we started to experience every day, in our own homes. The apartment complex prides itself on being a pet friendly atmosphere while simultaneously traumatizing all animals that live here regularly. Beyond the fire alarms, the entire building was poorly maintained. The garage door was constantly broken, often times being left open overnight for days at a time, leading to an unbelievable amount of car break-ins and thefts. The entrance doors on the ground floor were continuously broken as well, the key fobs didn't work and the doors would just be left open for anybody off the street to enter the building. Elevators being broken is a regular occurrence, The elevator closest to the garage at the time of this writing hasn't been functioning for over a month. The property management spent a lot of money to renovate the leasing office and fourth floor lounge, while leaving the resident hallways filthy, with black carpets and more chipped and decaying paint than not. In at least 4-5 instances we discovered dog poop that had been left in our carpeted hallways. I could never imagine watching a dog poop on the ground inside and doing nothing about it but I guess the residents here can. After a series of never ending dissatisfaction, we chose to pay the fees and broke our lease 6 months early. It was the best decision we've ever made. I would never recommend living here to anyone. While the leasing staff we interacted with were always friendly, we watched at least 3 completely different leasing office staffs be cycled through. Usually when the turn-over is that high it means something. There are much better apartment complexes in the city for the same prices, I would suggest you skip this one.
