The service and amenities at this establishment was awful! I experienced discrimination from the wait staff in the restaurant and when I brought it up to the management (Rachel front end manager)they did not try to help to resolve nor did they give me the General Manager information. The plaster from the roof was falling after a night of rain. If you are of color do not waste your time to eat at the hotel restaurant or if have issue do not waste your time to report to management or corporate nothing will happen. This is their response: Dear Jerry, I want to apologize that the service was not up to your standards. I apologize that you felt nothing was done to rectify this situation. When we spoke that morning I was listening to your concerns, and I was not trying to come across as unsympathetic to these concerns. Before you left in a hurry, I brought over the Food and Beverage Director, and you did not want to share your concerns with him. I was trying to take immediate action and notified the General Manager and he arrived in the lobby as you were leaving. After notifying the General Manager, he immediately addressed the situation with the staff that was working breakfast services. The general manager does not feel as the waitress was trying to act malicious in any way and again, we sincerely apologize that we did not meet the level of service you expected. The room was far less than what a routine traveler would consider clean. After checking in I went to the front desk and mentioned my dissatisfaction. In doing so the person in front of me with the same last name was checked into my room as well and was given keys after all our property was in our room, or what I thought was our room? The employee ran after that person as I stood there waiting. It was sold out due to local sports tournaments. I kindly requested that the room be cleaned as it should be the next day. The beds looked ok so we tried working with the staff. I was told that they would be sure to have it done first thing in the morning. We left for the games that our child was in and I reminded the staff again that I wanted the room cleaned prior to leaving and was told that it was noted for housekeeping. We returned around 12pm. The room was still not done. No towels, no cleaning. There was no trash to take out as I did all that for them mind the fact that I even had asked for a garbage bag which I was kindly provided at 630 in the morning. I again went to the desk and conveyed my dissatisfaction. I was told that they had some unscheduled American Airlines staff that were coming in and needed to prepare rooms quickly. To me this was not a justifiable excuse and I felt I gave them way more opportunity to make it right than what the average paying customer would have. I kindly told them this wasn’t working and that I was canceling the second night of my stay. As a Bonvoy Elite member I expected better. Check the room before checking in! They tried making it right but my money was already spent and there was no manager on site to discuss further. SHERATON YOU NEED TO DO BETTER!

This place is really old and it shows. This was my first time visiting a Sheraton and I wasn't super impressed but the price was right. The staff was great in moving us rooms three times. First room was on the first floor for some reason when I requested to be by the elevator while being generally run down looking and the second room had an active wasp nest on the balcony and I'm extremely allergic. The third room had stains on the carpet in multiple places and what looked like blood on the lamp shades. The room was generally clean but well worn. We unfortunately had to leave prior to the restaurant opening so I cannot speak to the quality of the food. The store by the front desk had keychains, books, medicine, snacks, personal care items, and drinks for sale. I didn't purchase anything but don't recall being sticker shocked at the prices.

I am aware the Sherston has gone through a new owner / manager, so it seems to have been through a rough patch. Now however it feels back to good standards. I love the look of the hotel, its an older classic style with lots of wood and browns. It's a massive hotel, with a gym, swimming pool, restaurant and bar inside and it's own mini shop. It's in a great location and the room was fantastic. The bed was incredible. There are many events going on at the hotel, so it gets busy at times but it's big enough to keep the peace and any interactions with the staff have been nice.

Dogs 40lbs. and under are allowed. No extra pet fees.
