Positive: The location was perfect. Took the back road to Hershey and there was no traffic. Negative: They use European pillows and there was only 3 per bed. I had to go to Gabes next door and buy a few pillows. The bathroom could have been cleaned a little better. There was black hair all over it.

Close to lots of amenities, including shopping and restaurants, a nice hotel, with amazing friendly staff. But at the end of the day, the three rooms that we had booked for our family vacation, needed to be updated, the carpet was stained and worn out, the furniture was out dated and stained as well. The pool was great and refreshing, and the complimentary breakfast was decent

While I realize the industry has suffered since the start of the pandemic and labor shortages are still in effect, it would have been nice to know upon checkin that housekeeping would only come every third day. I don’t need my bed made or my floors vacuumed daily as things were done in the past, but fresh towels and a daily emptying of the trash would be appreciated. Those tiny hotel trash cans don’t hold much at all. The pool area was clean though the spa would foam when turned on and the chemicals would burn our eyes after a while. The tub drain in our room clogged after our second night of showers. When I reported it the next morning to the clerk at the front desk, I was met with eye rolling and the question of “Did you check the drain?” When I replied that indeed I had made sure the drain stopper was not in use, she then said “well it’s probably a hair clog”. She wrote down our room number and said someone would get to it. I also mentioned that our trash needed emptying and towels replaced at it had not been done since our arrival 2 days before. She did not reply and kept looking at her computer screen as if I had not spoken at all. When we returned to the room later that evening, we found that none of those things had been taken care of. Water was still sitting in the tub. My husband went down and luckily dealt with a different person who apologized and also took our trash and towel pile and provided clean ones. He assured us that housekeeping would be by the next day which they were. But that was the only time as on the day they came by, I received an automated text from the hotel stating that rooms would be serviced every 3 days. Again, had we known this at checkin we would have been prepared. I’m not sure what the rates for these rooms are normally, but I feel $114 a night and having to remove my own trash is a bit much. On a positive note, the water pressure in the shower was fantastic to wash my thick hair.

Everything in this hotel was fantastic. Due to a mistake made on my behalf, the concierge J.J. made it all happen so we could stay the extra night like we wanted too. He was friendly and so were the other workers here? It’s within walking distance of many places to get food. I’m happy all around and about to hop in the pool which also seems very clean and a great commodity.
