Nice clean room. Large enough for a table and 2 chairs- which were not provided. No microwave- we called front desk and requested one- it was $20 extra! Really??? No coffeemaker in room. Coffee was served in lobby til 9am then shut down. Parking was either $38/day or $50/day- both prices were quoted. We chose a parking lot a block away for $13/day. Lot of hype but didn’t deliver.

We discovered a bed bug problem in our luxury suite (one of the spa rooms) which we got refunded for, but it obviously ruined the stay. Especially because they were fully booked that night and had no contingency plan for relocating us. My partner and I stayed here one time before that and both times the hotel service was not great. No fault to them, they were super kind and did whatever they could for our check ins and the bed bug issue. The problem was that we waited in long lines for a single person behind the desk who was also answering phones for the entire hotel. They just seem chronically understaffed and scrambling to do things for everyone in a timely manner. It gives me such mixed feelings because the rooms are awesome and those jetted tubs are amazing (they’re honestly the top reason we came back, along with the large windows that make the room feel even bigger than it already is). It’s such a cool and well-preserved historic building. I’d just be cautious of these issues when deciding whether it would be worth the cost of your stay. Oh and if you do stay there, make sure you check under the mattress for bed bugs!

Positive: Beautiful building with a bright, well decorated room with a view. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom, with a good tub/shower. Bar attached to hotel had great cocktails. Friendly staff, excellent valet. Negative: Does not live up to its star level. Only plastic glasses in room, no in-room coffee, no mini bar, beverages are not cold at front desk store, no room service, limited menu and hours for restaurant. Lacking amenities in general. Would not pay rack rack.

Loved my stay here! Everyone was so kind and friendly. Of course the hotel is amazing but the breakfast was the cherry on top ! I ordered the veggie eggs; and they were loaded with veggies! The sweet potato hash (words cannot describe) reminds me of my great granny’s cooking 🥲 fair price/ great portions. Only thing upsetting: I woke up 3 am dehydrated and went to the mini bar to find lack of choices and drinks weren’t cold. (It was too cold to run out)
