PROS: best toilet paper I’ve ever used at a hotel; AC worked; room functioned as a room, plumbing worked, bathroom was very clean. Right down the block from the light-rail line. Convenient location to downtown attractions. OTHER: I’ve never been so confused in a hotel - it seems “updated & renovated” yet “trashy & rundown” at the same time. My young daughter and I checked in around 1am for two days; we checked out the next morning at 7:30 am. Location is in a questionable part of town; don’t let the 1mile from major attractions sway you, the degradation of the area escalates quickly. I should have read these reviews before I booked. (I usually do, so shame on me.)

Where to begin. I am not fussy, I like a comfortable bed and will forgive a lot if I get one. There is too much going on here to forgive. Dumb stuff. The windows are quite high and double hung, and open about half an unreachable inch at the top. Every bit of street noise echoes in. The a c unit smells like someone peed in it and the shower water control dial doesn't have a stop. It spins and spins, and off is at about 11:57, so good luck. The walls are thin and so are the doors. I wouldn't call the room dirty, but it could use a deep clean, and looks like it was drywalled and painted by day laborers. It was the best value available in a location midway between the amtrak station and downtown, and is very convenient to public transportation, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone I liked!

Do not stay here!!!! I BEG YOU, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! The previous reviews are true. Dirty rooms, broken furniture, staff are rude and slow; it took us over an hour to check in. Blood and dirt on the sheets, smells like smoke 25/8 even though they warn not to smoke, marks on the wall, dents and broken drywall. The elevator is crusty, and they expect you to pay a $100 deposit for your stay. The lobby is decent but it’s minimal. I will complain to the highest person to try to have this place either under new management or shut down. This place is a joke. I’m not sure about the parking because I only used Uber or Lyft. The area is sketchy but that’s the city for you. Just don’t stay here, find something else.

The management is nice. The place is ok. It's honestly the surrounding area filled with scallywags and debris when you approach the entrance and random tenants that don't follow the rules and smoked in the hotel. Baltimore is just crusty and therefore anything decent is hard to find at a decent rate. I didn't stay the night. The smell , the parking issue, the shoddy characters and homeless structures right by the entrance made me uncomfortable. I decided to drive 15 min outside of Baltimore for my comfort and peace of mind.

Close enough to walk if your physically fit but about 7 minutes by car.
15-20 minute walk but you can also catch the light rail and that runs on the regular and let you off in front of Camden yards
It's not a bad area. (I live there.) It's a quiet area in a slightly dilapidated part of town - the hotel is fine, and the staff is very nice.
