Really nice park at the end of the island. Far out and remote it was a nice get away and wasn’t crowded at all in the off season. 2-3 mile moderate hike goes to a campground, and some incredible views and, beach. Highly recommend if your on the island.

Beautiful little park, good trails to access everything plenty of sealife in the tidepools. There is a $10 parking charge fyi.

This is one of my favorite spots on the island. Such a little gem of a park—it’s a 15-20 minute walk through a mossy, quiet forest from the parking area to the beach. I would highly recommend checking the local tide schedules and trying to get to the beach at low tide (or as close as possible), as you’ll be able to explore more of the tide pools. If you’re hoping to come across some starfish or other aquatic life, that’ll be your best shot!

Fantastic spot for short day hike or really short backpacking. The camp spots are accessible after a mild .6 mile hike one way. There are like 11 spots. Only about 3 have decent puget sound views so I would get down there early and set up camp. Most have a table and campfire ring. They don’t allow collection of wood from the forest but you ARE allowed to collect driftwood which we found plenty. Only 3-4 groups down there on a Thursday evening. Since most the area is covered in noisy bushes, you hear every little critter or animal that moves about in the night. Kinda creepy but part of the experience! There is a toilet down near the campsites to use too which is nice but no clean water available even at the parking lot so bring plenty! Highly recommend camping here if you get one of the good spots! We paid 12$ for one night.

Questions & Answers

How far can you get to the camping site? (Driving)

It's 1.5 miles to the camp site from the main parking lot.

How difficult is the trail to get to the beach and campsites? Uneven terrain, etc. For someone who is recovering from foot surgery

Its about. 6 miles to the beach from the trail head. The walk from the trail to the beach itself slopes downhill. Crescent beach is easier to get to than obstruction. Hope this helps

are there campsites for oct 8-11? anything by the water? campfires?

It's first come first serve. Not Sure about campfires. There may be a burn ban currently but maybe not in October. None of the campsites are right by the water but they are all within 100 yards of the beach.
