My room here was very nice and I loved that there was no carpet on the floors. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. I really appreciated that they had bottled water at the front desk. I was here for a conference and the food served during our meetings was very good. I had the opportunity to use the spa and they were fantastic! One of the best massages I've ever had. The only negative I had was there were a couple of paths that didn't have handrails and one that wasn't lit very well at night. I would stay here again.

The reason for the rating is as soon as we walked into our room we saw a cup full of the previous guest drink on our patio, the room had debris and hair in the corners (a lot and very noticeable) and in the shower. And the ultimate was pink fungus on the bottom of the shower that was literally corner to corner. It was visible as soon as you walked into the bathroom. There is a serious problem with house keeping and the lack of detail and supervision. Absolutely unacceptable. We checked out 5 minutes later and went to the Marriott City Center (fantastic location). We encountered the General Manager as we checked out and reported our findings. He was apologetic and offered us another room. We promptly declined. We are loyal to Marriott Bonvoy and travel several times a month. This is the first time we have had an experience like this and hopefully the last. I was so disappointed that I failed to take pictures.

Enjoyed the room and the outdoor pool on our recent stay. There was also a great bike trail across the road and the hotel provided bikes and helmets and had them ready for us. But the best part was Laura who we encountered at the front desk. We were celebrating my 40th birthday and on our last night we returned to a super thoughtful card from staff and a slice of cake and wine. Really meant a lot and this is why we always stay with Marriott! Thanks Laura!!

We visited for a bourbon tasting event with family and friends. Upon finishing with the event we decided to dine at the Bluegrass Bistro, we were delighted to try the restaurant since the website proclaims to be an award winning restaurant-- " Kentucky inspired farm to table cuisine at this award winning restaurant". From the moment we sat down we noticed some inconsistencies and disappointments. Our cocktails were average and lacked professional bartending etiquette, but could be overlooked. We ordered appetizers the saffron shrimp and the Brie cheese. The Brie was nice however the saffron was a huge letdown and lacked flavor and freshness, our party was extremely disappointed- we shared our concerns politely with our server and nothing other than "some people love them and others hate them". Upon receiving our entrees (1 pork chop, 1 burger, 3 salmon, 1 fish and chips) we were quite concerned with the the food's quality. The food was lacking freshness, flavor, and overall quality. There were issues with the pork, and the salmon was oddly mushy and rubbery- almost if it was close to the expiration date. We tried to make the best of the experience, yet the poor quality and the extreme lack of customer hospitality made the restaurant and the hotel extremely unappealing. Once we received our separated checks we noticed each couple was charged with a 20% surcharge because we were sat as a table of six. mind you no where was it listed or was ever explained that this would occur. Overall we had an appalling dining experience that consisted of an extreme lack of professionalism and hospitality from the service team and less than cafeteria quality food. I do not recommend.

Yes, by appointment.
Pools are open but other people staying there are very rude as they seem to want the pools to only 3-4 people when the hotel allow more.
Unfortunately this hotel does not provide hotel shuttle service. It is stated specifically on their website
If there are big parties staying for weddings, etc., you may have to wait as late as 4. Otherwise, you may get a room as early as noon, with advanced notice.
Get a massage there. You won't be sorry.
Yes the hotel is Griffin Gate Marriot in Lexington, KY.
Mine seemed to be an average quality mattress. It was not a sleepnumber or anything alomg those lines but i had no complaints.
