This is definitely a rest your head for the night kind of a hotel, and I had some issues with the shower having mold, but the main reason for my rating is complications I experienced during my stay. I was checked into a room, but when I came back later in the evening my key wouldn’t work. I spoke to the clerk at the office and told me the room I was checked in had no one in it and that I was check in a different room on another floor. I told him there is no way I was on that floor and that my items were in the room I was trying to get into. After a lengthy back and forth of what made it feel like he was trying to convince me I was never on the floor I initially checked in the front desk person that checked me in earlier that day was luckily still there. After some time, and having to describe my luggage and what items I had (?) I finally got my room key back. Having to describe my items that were in my room was very suspicious and the fact that he knew what was in my room was very unsettling as no one should have gone into my room while I was gone. When I got back to the room I made sure that no items were missing, which thankfully they weren’t but I still felt uneasy about the whole situation. Then this morning I found out that I had been charged double. They would not refund my card for the extra charge until the manager comes in at noon, but they would email me a final receipt. Unfortunately due to the already multiple strange circumstances during my stay I am having to delay my drive home in order to make sure that this is done. I will definitely never stay here again, even though La Quinta is always the best place to stay when I am traveling with my pets.

Nope, will not be back. I was surprised, since it's near the airport. You need somewhere to sleep and you have a pet with you but you don't want to spend too much...I understand but find somewhere else. Seriously, go somewhere else. Sometimes you just need to pay the extra money. - In response to the response from the hotel: we stayed our time that was booked here then left and went to another place (for the remainder of our time in the area). We're not complainers. We didn't read the reviews before we booked. We needed somewhere to stay with a pet. We left out every morning and came back in the evening but we made up our minds that we wouldn't stay there again. Since you mentioned (because I neglected to do so), here are the issues: - there is a $100 hold on cards - people obviously live here. We didn't complain about folks hanging around because at least they have a place to stay. - I had to flush the toilet when we first went in the room because there was remnants from the last person that used it. Clearly, the toilet wasn't cleaned for our arrival. I cleaned it so we can sit without having to put down toilet paper because I carry things with me but I shouldn't have had to do that (no, we didn't complain. It was late, we were tired). Which made us come to the conclusion that nothing was probably clean but we always bring our own sheets, blankets and pillow cases. - There's a roach problem. - We heard people talking through the walls. - The hot water for the tea, wasn't hot. - Trash was piling up by the elevator. - There's no trash bin on the side entrance so the doggie trash bin was used. - Fix the fence that broke down around back (it wasn't a problem but since I'm having to give examples) If you noticed, we didn't rate "service" because that was not applicable for us.

The staff was great, the lobby was clean, the breakfast was pretty good! There were options, a good variety. The ONLY bad thing was the roaches, I was uncomfortable and nervous for my two small children. They need to bomb the rooms. There was a fridge in good condition, a clean microwave. Decent location as well.

This hotel was booked by our travel agent due to an overnight layover. They stopped their shuttle service due to covid. We weren’t expecting that, but got an Uber. The staff was extremely kind and friendly during check in. We got into the elevator and there was a cigarette odor, which we thought was odd. Then when we arrived on the 3rd floor the smell was so strong. It was nauseating. The bathroom floor was very sticky and the toilet was not clean. We spent the next few minutes reading reviews, which all stated very similar experiences and then we called to book the hotel next door. The staff at the front desk apologized repeatedly and said we would be refunded. I’ve stayed at MANY La Quinta hotels with positive experiences each time. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. I’ve never been in a hotel this dirty. It’s unacceptable.

Usually the hotels near the airport have a "park n fly" deal and they shuttle you to and from the airport... I know the econolodge at queen city dr and others do if you stay there
