Mixed user’s experience: well just a normal motel close to Uni of Oregon and because of the ongoing World Athletics Championship (if you watch sports then this motel is a great bargain for you: 3 min walking distance to Hayward Field—and to the Market of Choice too), its rate per night rose to a good hotel level. It has an outdoor pool and during the night time a spotlight will shoot onto the pool for safety reasons (this is outstanding compare to other motels). My complaint is focused on its crowded allocation of space between rooms but I guess you can’t avoid that if you’re located right downtown in the business area. The receptionist was efficient and at one point he even came to my room to help troubleshoot wifi connection issue. I’d say my experience is neutral: nothing too bad nothing too impressive. So 3 stars should serve.

Excellent customer service, down to earth staff. Keevion is doing an amazing job at what he's doing. Also the Room was comfortable. Great area. And also want to thank Keevion for saying Goodbye to my son(Who passed away) I keep him with me where ever I go. Made my night!

it had a smelly room it had strawberry sauce in the droor. Was never informed the pool was closed even after I mentioned my kid's swimming. Notice was posted but not too visible. Staff were rude about it. Construction going on everywhere, no parking. 0 stars

The manager. When I checked in it was a long wait because the manager was being disrespectful and mean to another customer. After waiting 15 minutes it was my turn. I was thinking maybe the manager had been putting up with a lot already so tried being extra nice. Nope, the manager is just rude and should NOT be in a customer service position. All of the systems are antiquated. I made reservations for one night through booking.com. When I realized I needed to stay two nights I tried calling the motel a week prior to add a night. They would not do that, said it had to be through booking.com. So I scheduled the second night through booking.com. When I went to check in I find that I have to re-check in before 11:00am the next morning, that they cannot charge my card for two nights at once. Which, if the line from before is any indicator, will be another long wait. Later, when my day was done and I finally got back to the motel there was only one small spot available to park in in their entire lot. I couldn’t open my car doors wide enough to get the luggage out so had to crawl through the back. I used the key card to drop off the first load, but when I went with the second load the key would not work. I went to the managers office where the same person as before proceeded to freak out because I didn’t have a mask on. Correct, it was locked in the room from the first load (it was almost midnight and nobody was around). The person told me to get outside. They slammed the sign down (that was on the desk) because the key still wouldn’t work. Stomped to the room I was in without a word, took the key and got the same red and yellow lights I was getting, then did it again slower and smirked at me when it worked. Seriously, is the manager job a volunteer position or something??! The room smelled like smoke and was grungy. All in all a super lame experience.

How do you call a room from a cell phone if noone is working the front desk?

I've also had this problem while staying with family in multiple rooms. They should have the rooms set up as extensions- "You have reached the University Inn. Your call is very important to us. All associates are busy helping other guests. If you know your party's extension, please dial it now. If you know the name your party is registered under, you may leave your contact info and and an associate will relay that information as soon as possible. If this is an emergency dial 911. If not, please hold on to speak with the next available operator at the after-hours answering service." Lengthy, but seriously, the rooms should be set up for 24 hr. Incoming calls- not that difficult.

Do they rent to 18+?
