I've seen the residents in the Black Angel said variety playhouse. Love the sound system and I love that I can dance when I enjoy the music
Bryan Hoefer
Great venue. Butch Walker put on an amazing show as always.
Ray Juleson
Great venue to see an artist, even more when it is Butch Walker!
D Ferg
Great venue. Very intimate. The surrounding area isn't the greatest, but there are plenty of stores and restaurants in walking distance. I definitely would go see another show at this location. Thanks variety. This night was Trevor Hall and Going Going Gone...both amazing artists

Depends on the show, check your ticket for more information.
They have a VARIETY of music played there....
Depends on the night how easy it is. Weekend is tough but it can be done
You can get Das BBQ in the venue; lots of other places to eat in the area if BBQ is not your thing.
Be there early
The Variety Playhouse is not really a venue for kids. BUT, if the show does not specify 18 & up AND you are ok with your child being exposed to adult beverage consumption and other general concert behavior, children are permitted as long as they have a ticket. AND I have never experienced lewdness while visiting this venue, neither from the stage nor in the crowd. So, while not designed for kids, if you aren't a "prude" and your kid is cool, you are both likely to enjoy your visit.
Thanks for taking the time to answer . very helpful
AC. Comfortable.
You'd have to contact the venue for that information, sorry.
Unsure
Check the event website. Doors and early admission varies depending on the show.
Theres a popup bbq spot right on the inside but no dedicated kitchen. As the others have said theres alot of great restaurants nearby
It depends on the event. Check the event page for specifics.
I'd guess about 300.
I would check their site. One time my ticket said 7, but they didn't open doors until 8.
Parking is around the back and easy access. Lots of open space behind several restaurants. Enter to the right of the Variety. This event will be swamped, so get there early! Sounds fun! Go, Mayor Pete!
Box office is open Monday through Friday for sure between 9 and 5. Not sure about weekends.
He better. I bought the VIP upgrade. Why? Have you heard something?
Strictly enforced..
Buying tickets in person only costs more if you're using a credit card. If it's cash it's cheaper. You can always call and see if the event is sold out or not.
One line, same entrance, open space in front of stage, open space in sections on both the left & right of stage, standing only. Seating is arranged center floor & upper tier. My advice is to arrive early to get to your seats, if it a must that you have one. But be warned, if you move and stay away too long you may loose your seat. The food and drinks are filling & proportioned well for the prices!! Hope you enjoy the show!! Live performances are the truth!!👍👍👍
It depends on the configuration of the seats in the orchestra pit. Some shows have some extra seat available, others fewer. The Playhouse's website lists their optimum capacity at 1100 if I recall, but that's general admission.
I'm sorry, im back in Florida! I was at the Zappa concert, awesome!! People did have cameras out, no trouble!!
Show is all ages per Variety Play house website
The one show I attended was ALL reserved seating, saw no tables. Movie theater-type seats on Main Floor seating with cup holders mounted on the seats in front of you for holding large cups, cans, etc. from the bar. L/R side seating had straight back folding chairs. ALL reserved for that event, but apparently General Admission is offered on most shows. There is a nice large square bar area that offers bar stools and elbow propping that offers full concert viewing.
Both standing and seats. Balcony is all seated. Go early and you'll have good choice of what suits you.
Balcony is nice. Sound is pretty good. Plenty of seating on rhe floor. Mabe mkdway would be good.
The area in front of the stage is still standing room only (no seating). The lower level used to have square areas with plastic outdoor type chairs on the outside aisles that were first come first serve. All of those areas have been reworked and are much nicer. The middle rows are all still similar style seats as before the remodel. And, last but not least, the balcony has been remodeled and has a nicer bar.
