For a landfill, this is the best you can get. The staff has always been very helpful and they keep the place shop shape. I am especially impressed by their efforts to continue recycling and to bring new technology, especially environmentally friendly items, into play. I respect them for their hard work!

Every April the landfill has a shred day. If you would need to shred before then. Dupont does shredding. You would need to call them for more details. Keep an eye on the landfill website for the april shred date
Citizens can dispose of refuse for free, with few exceptions. Businesses pay to dispose of refuse. Everyone can recycle for free. Please see https://shenandoahcountyva.us/landfill/landfill-fees/ for more details.
Stoves and other metal appliances are free if they are dropped off at our scrap metal area.
