Great place with fantastic views. You can start to different hikes from the parking lots which are $10 a day for normal cars. Would highly recommend during sunny fall days.

North-south lake campground This is a campground in Catskill, 2:30 minutes from New York. Internet is good and shower facilities are good In summer, you can rent a canoe, and the price is $15. It is not available on bad weather. The campsite is $25 a day. It is now autumn leaves. In the spring, the Kataskill Falls that can be accessed from inside the campsite are a sight to behold. Yes, the puppy must show the Levi Vaccine certificate

We spent the most gorgeous Fall weekend there. This is a beautiful campground, very large with many different sites/ qualities of sites. We lucked out with ours and had a lot of privacy, because the campground can get very crowded. There are hiking trails right from the campground which is lovely not to have to drive. We will be back!

Yes 10$ day pass, u less ypu have the Empire Pass
Not sure was my 1st time there they call it a lake Id say its a pond and i would like to say yes or try it
Yes. Nice hot showers
Sure can! Just make sure your life jackets are not the inflation kind, they don't allow them.
I wouldn't do it there, everything will be closed and off limits. Find another place to camp.
Loop 4 or loop 7. 7 is most likely the quietest because it's not close to the beach.
Yes .it is pretty clean
I assume you're not talking about camping there, so assume 10 am to sundown otherwise. That's not an official answer but if you're not camping it's a good assumption.
Check with the park office. People along the road to the park sell firewood so it is likely to be allowed
Yes. There is a dump station at the recycle and refuse center
Yes you can as long as it is after the check in time
Last Sunday we went there early morning. The parking lot was opened. But so is the day we've been there at 6:20 am Try to see the sunrise. It was close. We had to park outside. We walked and run about 40 mins to the nice ' platform ' to see the sunrise.
Each loop has a facility where campers can shower, use toilets and sink and wash dishes. There's also a few spigots around each loop. The facility has electricity and you can plug into the bathroom outlets if you wish for a brief charge (or to use your coffeemaker) but the sites themselves do NOT have water and electricity or hookups.
I was just there you should call to make sure so when you get there you have it cuz I got a lot of people there we were there during the weekend was crowded for the weekend is probably worse let's go to the DC web page and look up north south Lake Tannersville New York and get the number
May depend on who is at the booth
I was just there and it was open but you would have to ask of you can put a tent there
No its not, but you can park by the booth or down by south lake and walk in with your stuff. Just cant camp
Yes for water at a walkable distance. Not sure about electric at camper site's.
Yes, some trails lead directly fro lake that are wide and pretty flat and easy to traverse.
there is a playground. A child will have a ball here But the most spectacular thing about the campground is the area it's located in. The trails are the best. From the campground you can go & do a trail that will take you two artists Rock, sunset rock, Norman's ledge & North point. On the same road as the main entrance within a 1/2 mile there are two short trails. The first one being Laurel house trail will take you to a platform that you can see kaaterskills Falls. It's one of the most spectacular Falls NY has to offer. The next one is closer to the main entrance & that will take you to inspiration point & Boulder Rock. 38 miles from the campgrounds on route 42 you will find buttermilk Falls Brook & peekamoose blue hole. Both of these are roadside. The Falls have a small pool andthe blue hole is gorgeous W/ Crystal clear waters. Which you & your child can swim in. Do your research well & you'll find a ton of things to enjoy with your family besides just sitting around a campgrounds.
Correct
The season opens May 17th but the reservations go quickly since it's a popular campground (rightfully so since it's got everything you need close by). I believe the reservations open in advance & roll out weekly so it's best to keep checking for the week you want until it opens. They take walkin's but it's rare a spot is available. Plan ahead!
No problem, paved road just back into the campsite.
I have not seen it yet but the skies are amazing anyway, we love stargazing by the site of the old Catskill Mountain House. Clear skies & shooting stars everywhere
Snow mobile yes, ATVs don't think so.
No
There are electric hookups at some of the campsites, they are marked on the site map on ReserveAmerica. I do not recall any water hookups.
My dad is the supervisor and i dont belive their is a cost to ice fish, or to ice skate.
Can you reserve/rent the kyacks prior to getting there ???
If your doing it online yes,
No. The loop is away from the other loops and far from the lake.
Kids and adults.
a lot of places
Depends on where they are in loop 5 and where you are in loop 4, at most it would be approximately 0.5 miles.
When we camped at NSL 3 weeks ago, beach was closed for the season.
