there is a playground. A child will have a ball here But the most spectacular thing about the campground is the area it's located in. The trails are the best. From the campground you can go & do a trail that will take you two artists Rock, sunset rock, Norman's ledge & North point. On the same road as the main entrance within a 1/2 mile there are two short trails. The first one being Laurel house trail will take you to a platform that you can see kaaterskills Falls. It's one of the most spectacular Falls NY has to offer. The next one is closer to the main entrance & that will take you to inspiration point & Boulder Rock. 38 miles from the campgrounds on route 42 you will find buttermilk Falls Brook & peekamoose blue hole. Both of these are roadside. The Falls have a small pool andthe blue hole is gorgeous W/ Crystal clear waters. Which you & your child can swim in. Do your research well & you'll find a ton of things to enjoy with your family besides just sitting around a campgrounds.

Yes, there is a great playground available. It's a short walk back from the lake too.
There is a small playground with 4 swings and a slide. Nothing spectacular but my 3 year old enjoyed it this past July.
