Didn't expect much coming into a court building, but had a great experience with a woman working in the civil court office. She was very helpful when filling out forms. Not a busy day, so the situation may have been different if there was a lot of traffic.

Building is clean ….. now for the bad …. Where is the public defenders office ? Who do they report to ….. I understand it’s a public defenders office that works with the state… however still should be some organization! how are you guys really protecting or defending ur client if u work both sides . Over load of cases … we need to change the approach in court when handling cases with people with disabilities . George Townsend is a funny guy He is a public defender thinking as prosecutor and it shows. He’s not for the public beware !!!!!!!!!

What other courthouse in this country will allow a diagnosed psychotic woman with split personalities who admitted to attacking men press false charges on an x, get caught committing perjury, falsifying police reports and walks away Scott free???

Yup they sure do
That's a question for the DMV.
Call the Court Clerks office and ask about your options. They will most likely continue the case to a later date, but results may very. Whatever you do, do not just not show up without making anyone aware, you could face additional consequences
Yes
No, there should be no problem. Just go to clerks office and give your information, they will pull it up, and accept your payment.
Go to http://www.courts.state.va.us/courts/home.html , go to the general district court case information tab, after reading the consent info click accept, in the search bar on the left type in the county/city where the court is located, select the criteria to search by under traffic/ criminal or civil, fill in the blanks as labeled, click search, click next if your name isn't on first page of results, once you find your name, click on case information, the specifics will be there: court room number, etc. Good luck.
Probably not, but you can call or email the clerk for a continuance
Depends on what you are there for. Most public are banned. It's always smarter to call and ask
Look at the information posted online for more up to date info. Right now, the courts are not open to general public, but they are also not closed. People are still in the building that do not work there. Things are changing on the hour, and you should call with any questions or speak with an attorney.
Absolutely. The potential for jail makes it critical. You potentially face up to a year in jail AND a $2500 fine.
It's a criminal charge that, if convicted, not only carries 6 points, but also can result in up to a 6 month loss of license and/12 months in jail. It's unfortunately more serious than many people realize.
I would go to or call the clerks office
You can if someone is available. There's a lake across from the courthouse if you choose. All of this is on the website.
If the courts are closed, there's nobody there to answer your phone call. When they do open it'll be difficult/impossible to get through. The Henrico courts merely said they are opening at 10am, not a two hour delay. The first cases are at 9am normally so this is only an hour late. That said, I'd have my client show up at 10am because they didn't say delay, just 10am open.
They aren't going to respond to this. You'll have to call or better yet have your attorney follow up.

DMV will suspend your license if your fine is not paid, so you may want to check with them.
If you recently got the ticket you may need to wait for a week or 2.
