I honestly believe there is no better law firm or one that will work harder for you. When I was divorced 28 years ago, my marital settlement agreement included a portion of my ex husbands 401K and pension which was never awarded to me. David Crum’s firm worked hard to intercede with the Department of Labor and was able to compel the benefits plan administrator to release the 401k funds and even filed a new motion to make sure I was awarded the pension benefits. David kept me in the loop the entire time and even called me while he was on vacation to let me know how my case was progressing. I don’t believe any other law firm could have done a better job. I am so grateful to New Mexico Legal Group!

I would highly recommend New Mexico Legal Group. Excellent service. I would not hesitate to use them again if needed.

I would not recommend New Mexico Legal Group. My ex-husband and I used them for our legal separation. We paid them all of the fees and met with them. A few years later I contacted them with a question about the document that they drew up. No one would help me unless I paid them more money for another legal consultation (it doesn't matter that they were already paid for the document I was inquiring about), and whoever answered the phone was extremely rude. They do not care about their clients and it is all about the money for them.

Awful. Darin was awful. Unless you like them billing you $3500 a week for some texts and emails trying to get a straight answer from them. All it was was just stringing me along and setting up my ex-husband for success. These attorneys never filled me in on certain things that my ex-husband was doing for example my ex changed my daughter‘s elementary school without my knowledge. My attorney knew but I didn’t. Felt the Darin McDougal did not have my back and was more siding with opposing counsel. I cannot stress to you how overpriced these folks are. Good luck ever getting a response back the only response I got was a bill! And then when he realized he was failing and could do no more and this case was just out of his jurisdiction basically he decided he didn’t wanna be my attorney any longer and gave me a day to find a new one. Awful attorneys!

Could be considered a Domestic Partnership or Common Law Marriage but we would require additional information to determine the validity for certain. Feel free to give us a call.
We only handle divorce, family law, criminal, and DWI cases. We'd recommend contacting the State Bar of New Mexico for an attorney referral. Best of luck!
It sounds like you are looking for a citizenship attorney.
It depends on the scope of work which one of our attorneys can quote once gathering all the details around your case. This is done during a comprehensive consultation which usually lasts an hour and is $225. During that time the attorney will provide you a road map to resolution, strategy to achieve the best results possible, and they can answer any questions you may have.
While we have support staff that is fluent in Spanish, none of our current attorneys are fluent. We have certainly represented clients in cases in which our staff, or a client's family member translated for the attorney. However, with the idea that one of our firm's core values is that client's receive outstanding service, it is probably better for a Spanish speaking only client to look beyond our firm for a divorce and family law attorney who is fully fluent in Spanish. We can always make a referral if necessary.
In New Mexico, the age of consent is 17 years old. If an adult (an individual over the age of 18) has sex with a minor between the ages of 13 and 16, the adult may be prosecuted for 4th degree criminal sexual penetration. Different standards apply when the offender is in some position of trust or authority over the minor, such as a teacher, employer, or coach. In such situations, one should assume that the age of consent is 18, at the very least.
CPS cases can be very costly, depending on why the child is in CPS custody. A case like that would likely require an initial retainer of around $5,000. The attorney would then work on the case on an hourly basis. We sometimes allow the retainer to be made in two payments ... but that really depends on the situation.
