The preserve is a nice place to go on short hikes or bike rides without having to get out of town if you’re short on time. My dogs absolutely love this place and bark as soon as they realize where we’re going. My only suggestion is don’t stand around long because in the summer the mosquitoes will get you and in the winter the ticks seem to go after my long haired dog lol.

Nice park with lots of good signage about plant life. Feels like it could get crowded. The loop for now is only 3 miles as spring Creek trail is closed due to construction. This is a popular mountain bike spot but I have yet to ride it

So far so good. Not many folks out here. Cool enough to get some good walking in.

Hi, I understand that the property is owned by The Woodlands Development Company. What insures its long term availability to residents? Another Jones State Park event would not be welcome.
