No they are not allowed at Conkles Hollow. It is a nature preserve. You can have them at most places in the rest of Hocking Hills State Park though.
The Canyon trail is paved and pretty friendly but I don't think the paved trail goes all the way to the waterfall. Maybe about 80-90% of the way. Edit: also suggest ash cave as it is mostly paved and very flat.
You do not need a permit. However unlike the other parks in the area it is important to note that pets are prohibited.
Not difficult. Ascent on the Rim has some climbs but definitely mild. The gorge trail is flat and mostly paved
Dogs might destroy the habitat and plant life
Its a preserve area. Don't even go off trail especially now in the Spring, as you may take some eggs with you.
