Gorgeous Walking Trail. The Environment is so peaceful and calming. I love coming here for spiritual relaxation, meditation, grounding, earthing, steam releasement, walking exercise, and mindfulness practice too. Another great thing is that this place has two pathways to it ~ the left one which leads to the waterfall, and the right one that leads to a creek. Plus, The Walking trail wraps around the whole forest. So yeah, love coming here every other week. Issue : I absolutely hate the smokers that come here and ruin the peaceful environment along with the fresh air. How am I supposed to enjoy the fresh air and peaceful quiet environment with the smokers and loud music players who come here? So irritating. But aside from that, great walking trail all in all.

What a magical experience! You forget that you’re even near the city for a few hours. These trails are great for hiking and walking. Most trails don’t have specific markers so you might get lost. Bring a snack and some water if you plan to spend a few hours here. It’s awesome for a weekend date idea, just be prepared to sweat a bit. I can’t wait to explore again.

Didn't get to go far; forgot I had another appointment during the day. I hiked about a half mile with the children before I had to leave. It's beautiful. I'm going back this weekend and taking fall pictures.

Incredibly beautiful and serene.

As Andre said. However, there are no provided grills, but if you have your own portable grill there is an area that's cleared with benches across from the parking lot.
There's no one around to stop you just be sure to take with you everything you brought. It's a beautiful Park, but we have to keep it clean.
The walk up until the waterfall, yes. But the rocks @ the falls tend to be slippery. I saw a couple people fall.
No I do not think you can fish, but it is great for hiking, taking pictures, things like that
It is a beautiful place if you like outdoor scenery in some spots its like a post card. If you like waterfalls great place to see a beautiful one hidden in the city. You can even walk up to the waterfall and take pic. Just becarful on where you choose to travel down to it its steep make sure you wear water shoes a must for this
it is FREE!
No
Not wise thing to do
It's a very good place to go walking and they have plenty of walking trails u can take your kids and dog's too also there's places you can have lunch at
It's free to enter and open!
Yes but not in magnitude. Saw one swimming in current just off waterfall.
Check out this trail on AllTrails. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/georgia/cascade-springs-nature-preserve-outer-loop?p=-1
Yes, I saw various people walking there dogs when I went. There was even someone walking their cat!
No. No overnights at this park
Is a nice place to visit The Great Outdoors a small waterfall that's nice place to visit a good walking trail I don't think they'll mind if you come off the walking trail going enjoy
I saw someone shooting a music video there the other day however I don't know if they got any special permission.
The water is very clean. Even the unicorns drink it. I saw an elf drink it too. The Mushrooms here are also very tasty. Make you feel very strange tho.........
Yes
Not really. You won't be able to see the real beauty of the park. But there is a small area that you will be able to see
Nope, not as far as I know.
No, sorry
The trails are mostly packed dirt so they may be difficult with a stroller after a rain. They also vary in width from about 3 feet down to just a foot on some of the less traveled trails.
Its a state park they lock up after 8/9! Check atlanta park and recreation site for park features, amenities and hours.
I've seen one or two people use the mountain bikes but I wouldn't recommend it. There are lots of tree roots and hills.
I absolutely Love the preserve year round. The winter faces of nature is so freakin beautiful
Not deep enough as previously mentioned. Honestly, I don't recall seeing fish, frogs, tadpoles etc.
There are tables of the parking lot and more inside the park. At the pump house turn right to get to them.

No. There are no areas meant for swimming. The only water is quite shallow creek/river water that is not clean enough let alone deep enough to swim in.
Dogs love the Nature Preserve. And when on a leash they are welcomed. Make sure to have a bag ready to collect any doggie poo cause no one wants to step in it on this sweet trail...
I can't give an exact distance but, it is roughly .5 miles from the parking lot.
Free
Not sure when the park was established but it used to be a Creek Indian village. Also, Atlanta's first doctor Joshua Gilbert had a house here.
