The staff here are absolutely amazing. They truly try to help everyone who comes through the door. Alan and Alex are especially nice. It's pretty sad, however, that over half the guests don't appreciate anything that is done to benefit them...all they want is more, more, more. Give them a cookie and they want a glass of milk. Give them milk and they want the cow. Give them the cow and they want the farm. If this isn't bad enough, the staff also endures hate speech and racial slurs on a daily basis. The staff are good people and continue to help everyone. The rules are simple: wear your mask and only eat in designated areas. Why is that asking too much?

You can take them to 1321 South center Street that is the location of our new donation center. Unfortunately, we are a closed campus so we do not allow walk up donations at our site ☹️

Deodorant, razors, hand warmers, and socks are always in low supply and high demand. Travel tissues and the quick flossers are always appreciated. Hand sanitizer while used quickly do so much good, a big one for common use is rare but needed.
This is a,mens only shelter. Women are only allowed just before meal times and for the clothing room days. If you ask the front desk staff for info on womens shelters for shower and houseing they will be helpful and give you info

Priority over others that just need a chance or just a little helping hand. Ya I believe they should stay their and bank their money's but it's the same people taking advantage of this resources that they're the ones that abuse it cutting in line to eat taking pops and revealing them in front of the mission to people comming their to use this resources. These are the people that abuse the system and are the ones that well drugs up on the sidewalk just flaunt their help that I beleavecould better serve0ft

Thank you Frankie! We definitely take your donations of clothes . Our donation center is temporarily at a different location during the construction of our new Women's Shelter: 1321 South Center Street, Tacoma, WA 98409 Monday-Friday 9:00 am–5:00 pm OR Saturday 10:00 am-2:00 pm
They have set times for showers
Breakfast begins around 6:45 am to 7am.... No lunches and dinner is at 5pm Sunday through Thursday, 7pm on Friday nights & 6pm on Saturday nights.
It's a great family shelter and they have opened space right now so I would call as soon as you can.

I work there off and on and I never seen issues guess it's best to have a safe place to go then be on the street and this is a good place especially the Adams street rescue Missions which is Designed for families vs the Tacoma rescue Missions

The Nativity House offers shelter to men, women & children, whereas the Tacoma Rescue Mission only offers shelter to men.
Yes they do have Christian programs to get off the drugs and you can stay overnight with 30 or 60 days also and the Christian program lasts for a year to get off drugs

It's a Rescue Mission, opens at 3pm for check in 7 days a week, closed 830 to 3 unless you live in Veterans dorm.
If you're a single male you will have to go to the men's shelter, the address is 425 s tacoma way. They serve lunch and dinner everyday.

Come to the motel 6 on hosmer or the Days Inn on South Tacoma Way, now they have given me and my children a couple of free nights for free but u would to leave by 11.. check out time. But they are soooooooooooooo nice. Compassionate
Honestly I don't know & i highly doubt they have those.. The homeless people i did see took their animals with them after they ate.. Some people leave thier dogs in the woods
