So I have a 2008 Jetta and it kept shutting off on me, like I could drive but could not turn the car off because of a paralytic draw. I went to two other places before him and payed for Inspections and they were all wrong and a waste of money and they couldn’t find the real problem because it kept happening. I was about to say f the car and sell it but I found them on line and decided to give it one last try because something in me told me not to give up. I brought my car to him twice and we thought we fixed the car 3000$ later (my parts were expensive not labor) but after a week it was back to doing the same things. So we called him back and he said you know what just bring the car in and I’ll look at it again( no charge this time) His wife has the same car with the same problems so he called in a special wire guy because he had an idea of what it was but needed him to find the problem. So they found the problem and because he missed it and it messed up the work I just payed him to do, so he was honest and said hey I missed this electrical problem and he also didn’t write that that could potentially happen so I’m going to fix your car for you. Like y’all don’t understand how great full I am to this man for his kindness, empathy, honesty and hard work he’s done with my car. He even tried to give me the parts for as cheap as he could since I was paying so much. If you want an honest hard working mechanic go to trafton! The owner and staff are so nice and their work speaks for itself.

My VW Tiguan was diagnosed and determined it needed a new engine. I did not proceed with the repair as it was uneconomical, however the initial diagnostics done were detailed and professional. I appreciate the communication during the process and the cost was appropriate.

New clutch put in and got a few tune ups on a 2017 gti. They were very easy to work with. I brought it in on a Wednesday and had it back by Monday.

After waiting over a year for parts or a 73 VW type3 at another place I called Traftons. Jeff and crew diagnosed the problem as the fuel pump and ordered it. When it too failed to solve the problem, “running rich” they sent the new one back and our original out to be rebuilt. Back on the road in just under a month at Traftons and on budget too. I look forward to seeing them again for our VW needs. Thanks
