Excellent hospital‼️ Brought my son from out of town for potential gallbladder surgery and within a matter of 2 hours we were checked out, admitted, put on the morning surgery line up and taken up to the ICU. Nurses were all super nice and professional and the surgeon Dr Barlow was EXCELLENT. Highly recommend‼️

We’ve always had a great experience with them! Sometimes waits can be a little long, just like any other hospital. We took our son here after having no luck at another hospital. The doctor listened to our concerns, the symptoms our son was having etc. He ended up needing to be admitted for emergency surgery. The surgeon & other staff were wonderful. 🙂

I would definitely give this emergency department 5 stars is Dr.Gravatt didn't work. Every time she works the ER is backed up and everyone coming in with kids is stuck waiting for 6 or more hours. Any other day for many years when I've had to bring my kids I can get in and out in about 3 hours. But with this Dr, it ALWAYS takes forever. She should really retire or transfer to a different department. This is ridiculous

This hospital is amazing! My premie was born here, 2 months early, and they took great care of him. He was there for a month. He also had an emergency surgery at only a month old with Dr. Escobar. Could not have asked for better results. I am forever thankful to this hospital. My son is now a healthy 2 year old!

As long as he has legal permission to make medical decisions then there shouldn't be a problem
It all depends on what is going on with the child. If you are donating a bunch of them yes they accept donations. If it's someone you know more than likely it's ok unless they are contagious
17 years old, 18 years and up is considered an adult and would go to Tacoma General
Mary Bridge Children's Hospital ER would be your starting point or your Primary Care Doctor. They could then refer your teen to Mary Bridge Behavioral Health if needed. MB Behavioral Health is across from Wright's Park, and just a couple blocks from Mary Bridge ER in Tacoma.
