Luckily my partner and I’s room was clean. The room was nice. However, we had a bit of a reservation issue. The staff was absolutely rude and lacked any empathy at all. Other guests we have met have told us that their AC and TV wasn’t working. Another one had said their stuff was taken out of the room. So please do yourself and anyone you bring along a favor and stay away from this hotel. They seriously do not care about the guests here at all.

We just got back from a 4th of July 2 nights stay here. The only thing that was good about the hotel is the bed in the room. It was comfy and thankfully we could sleep well after visiting places all day long. I don't know how things were with the previous management/owners but the new owners are way too cheap in the way they run things. Here's all that's simply wrong : 1. No welcome/complimentary water bottles. They should at least give us 2 water bottles for a couple on the first day. 2. Basic amenities like a fresh bottle of shampoo, conditioner, body lotion all missing. I mean they have refillable shampoo, conditioner and body wash attached to the shower which is locked up. I don't feel safe using the bottles hundreds of other people have touched. Also, god only knows what quality of product you're filling it up with?? 3. They don't have a body lotion. You call the front desk, they're only waiting there to say 'NO' to your face. Don't have body lotion, no shower cap, no dental kit. Nothing. 4. Dirty corridors, passageways and elevators. We saw the housekeeping leave 2 big garbage bags in the morning at some point in front of the elevator, which was never picked up till the next morning. Each time we used the elevator, we had to go around it. 5. People smoke in the elevator, the management doesn't care. 6. Unfriendly, uncooperative staff. They have no smile on their faces and looks like those young girls (probably the owner's daughters) are forced to work there and they wish they had better things to do. 7. They got rid of the breakfast services, though there's a perfectly fine and big breakfast place. We are never going back there and if you plan to visit Fort Worth, select other places cause 'Sonesta select' cannot be anyone's choice unless the owners decide to run the place properly. Simply disappointed. Glad we didn't have to stick around in the room much.

Had to keep getting new keys each of the three days I was there. Beds were very comfortable. Hallways were hot, humid, and always smelled like marijuana. Quieter than I expected it to be, being so close to the highway. Pool was fairly clean since not many people were using it during my stay.

Unfortunately I did not have the best stay here. I was here for 3 nights last month. When I walked into my room, the heat was set to 71 degrees, but it felt like a sauna. It had to be at least 90 degrees in there. I think it's because there was no "auto" setting on the thermostat, so the heat had been continuously running for a very long time before I checked in. I also saw ants near the sink and the following morning there was a roach in the bathroom. I had to quickly leave the hotel in the morning to make it to a meeting, but when I tried to call the hotel to explain the issue, nobody answered the phone. When I arrived that night, I explained to the front desk about the issue, and they gave me a different room that was nearby. Thankfully the other room did have an "auto" setting on the thermostat, but this new room also had a bug issue- this time it was flies/gnats in the sink! I told the front desk about the issue when I was checking out. Hopefully they addressed the issue. Then a couple of days later I noticed a new, puzzling charge of $217 on my bank statement. I called the hotel and they explained that there was an issue with the third party that I had booked my reservation with, and instead of charging the third party's "ghost card" they charged my card instead. Thankfully they did resolve that issue, but overall I was very displeased with my stay, especially after reading so many positive reviews about this hotel. I hope nobody has a similar experience.

Questions & Answers

Are pets ( small service dog ) allowed?

My trained medical alert service dog is 11lbs. There was no issue. The staff is trained to know the difference between a trained service dog and a pet. If you have a pet, therapy, emotional support, or companion dog call first to check their policy. Legally only trained service dogs are allowed unrestricted public access.
