Riverchase could be a great living space, but due to lack of trash services and maintenance it’s horrible. Id rather become a homeowner!

Oh God where to start. This is the worst apartment complex I’ve ever seen. 1. They can’t keep up with the trash compactor and it overflows to the point that residents are dumping on the streets, yet they’ll fine you for doing so, while simultaneously charging you for the trash “service” you can’t even use. 2. The neighbors are disgusting, dirty, and rowdy, they’re loud and argue out in the open. And ironically they’ll file a noise complaint on you for breathing. People park wherever they want without parking permits and allow their friends to park wherever they please. 3. Maintenance isn’t very keen on doing their job correctly. 4. The rent is outrageously high. I’ve seen much higher quality 3 bedroom apartments on the market that are way cheaper than a 1 bedroom apartment here. This place only wants your money. 5. They shut down their resident portal and are forcing residents to pay online. Some of us don’t have the ability to get a check or money order. And those of us who do have to bend our knees to Riverchase office hours. If it doesn’t fit within our schedule, then guess what, late fees that will never be paid.

I’m NOT a big fan of the Apartment complex and how it’s ran. I will say that the new Head of Maintenance Gregg Wallace is really turning this place around! He answered my maintenance request in less than 24 hours! He introduced himself and was very pleasant and efficient! You can definitely see a difference since he has started!

I would have enjoyed staying at this apartment complex more if I was aware that they’d try to charge me 2 months the rent before moving out. I recently found out through a lawyer that I could have moved out without having to pay them the 2 months rent since I signed the lease through with a different company that owned Riverchase at the time. Whoever lives here make sure you let them know 60 days in advanced IN WRITING that you are moving out. I don’t want anyone going through the same thing that I did. The apartments themselves are nice. I had no bed bug or roach issue. And maintenance would come up to fix any issues we had. Any further complaints I have was that there was only one dumpster in the whole complex. If you don’t have an apartment next to it, you’d have to walk all the way across the parking lot just to dump your trash. Another thing is the stairs are a pain to walk up if your carrying groceries passed the first floor. If your a single mom or have children, I’d consider staying on the first floor. And being close to a street you can guess it was pretty loud at night. Other than that I would rate my actual stay here as “okay”.
