The phlebotomist left my daughter unattended as she passed out . My daughter called me panicking, as I waited in the car in the lab Corp parking lot. My daughter said the phlebotomist said she couldn’t find a vein, yet the phlebotomist still stuck her with the syringe trying to find a vein for about 1 minute. My daughter told me she told the phlebotomist that she was getting a headache and just passed out. So yes the phlebotomist was aware of my daughter passing out, yet left her unattended. My daughter awoke, and did not realize where she was, as my daughter is panicking, called me, then came to. I ran inside the lab Corp . The phlebotomist got so nasty with me when I asked her what had happened. I told the phlebotomist, I used to be a phlebotomist and #1 rule, never leave a patient unattended, especially being told you don’t feel well and pass out!! The phlebotomist got so nasty with me saying it wasn’t her fault of what had happened to my daughter, her own coworker had to tell her to leave the room. Word of advice so you won’t experience the same, stay away from Lab Corp- especially on Jessup Rd., in West Deptford, NJ. .The manager says she would get in touch with me to only be shrude herself. I can't stress enough stay away from them and go somewhere else. Try going to Quest, they are clean, very professional and know how to comfort the patient all around 100%!
