I’ve never seen any, although it’s entirely possible. The nature areas are labeled with signs where you can’t enter. There’s also a good amount of grass between the actual paths and the lake. Some people go there to fish.

They have BBQs of all kinds on that park. If anything they can use the water balloons lol so I'm sure it should be no problem.

I usually go online and check on the park site. There's usually a way to reserve so that you can ensure no one grabs your space. Also, if you will be using large equipment it helps keep you from being turned in. I would check the site. Google park reservations.

I believe I saw somewhere that the outer loop is two miles. But, there are small inner trails to enjoy as well. It also connects with miles and miles of trail by the bayou. Going all the way downtown.
