I must start off saying I love this place been there for over 10 years. Well on yesterday 10/14/2022 I experienced something that I wasn't expecting. I bought three dinner plates. Rib dinner, fish dinner and chop beef dinner to go. Every thing was good except my fish plate. My fish, fries and toast was extremely soggy on top of that they put my coleslaw in the same plate. 10 minute drive home , coleslaw hot and everything is soggy. Fast forward today 10/15/2022 I reach out first to the manager Jose and explain the situation and he basically told me I should have asked for my coleslaw to be placed on the outside of the container and in 40 years and nobody ever complained!!! Wow!!! I asked to speak to the owner and he said that they are barely here... I asked did the changed owners because I dont recall this type of service or product in the last 10 years.

I reviewed 3 years ago with 5 stars but recently my grandmother came here to get her food smoked and when she got it back, the ribs, or what seemed to be ribs bc that's what she had gave them, weren't even eatable. It was mostly bone, very little meat, and cut up to pieces. She didn't want to deal with the hassle of going back up to the location so she took it as a loss. btw Chopped beef baked potatoes are to die for!

I had not been here in several years but was on this side of town and wanted to see if they were as good as I remember. Hickory Barn did not let me down, chopped beef sandwich was the perfect blend of lean and moist, okra was not too crunchy and the links had just the right amount of flavor. Great choice when you are on the SW side!

Super expensive. Bought a tiny sandwich (some chopped beef on a hamburger bun) and a small coke and it cost almost $13. Sandwich was Ok. Nothing great about it.
