The clerk running the counter was very rude and nasty. If she worked for a private company and not the government, she would of been fired long ago. She isn't stupid either- she knows she will never be removed from her duties. This creates and endless cycle of poor customer service.

Yes if you have the tracking number and a government I'd you can pick up your package anytime during facility hours.
Must show ID.
Only means that the seller generated the label, once he/she drops it off at the post office it should get scanned. Once scanned you can use that tracking number to see where it's at.
Then you would need to go to the post office in person or call. Also, don't post your package info online. Everyone who reads this can now track your package. It is a public forum, not a means to contact businesses directly.
The post office doesn't answer these questions. I don't see why that would be a problem, but call to find out.
