I am being my own General Contractor, at the age of 75, for the constriction of our new single family home. My experiances with the Pierce County Planning and Land Srevices department have been, for the most part, very good. Most of the personnel are knowledgeable, helpful and oh so kind. I am comfortable and excited while on this journey. A big shout out to Adonais Clark in Forest Practices, Debbie Hunter at the permitting, intake desk, Ryan Pearson In Site Development and Danial Woodward in Structural Engineering.

Pierce County is dialed in on permits and processes. They have some of the fastest review times in the GMA. Dealing with the insane State regulations they are beholden to, they truly do a great job of navigating those challenging waters, while still delivering a common sense approach and quality customer service. Without Pierce County's leadership there would be even more stress on the affordability of housing. If only all of the other Counties and Cities were as well organized. Give them a break folks, PALS is doing their very best!

If your getting a permit I feel sorry for you. The process is rediculous and long. Especially for liners and pipe burst (plumbing).

Your problem sounds like you need advice from a real estate lawyer. It usually takes a lot of work when a deeded easement is involved.
Mark, A street is not a street until the county declares it's a street and that takes a lot of procedures along with demographics traffic studies, mapping, surveying, name of dedicated name, deeded and easement recordings, the list goes on if you live in unincorporated Pierce County. Check with their Planning Dept.before you give anyone access rights to your property. In a lot of states, if you allow use of a part of your property, over time it can become in some instances a right of use. DON'T ALLOW IT! I hope this helped
no, it is considered temporary, if you have a home owners association we will need to check any restrictions.
If you know where your tank is located,a septic company can find the lines to your house and drain field. There are a couple of options, which they can tell you about.
