For the first time , hopefully , my own place. And even though it's small , it's simple , I can discover the stability that's been missing for so many of years.

I love this place. Lived here for a while. They will help.

Being homeless people in Seattle is better here than sleeping on a hill with a bunch of druggies.

This high barrier encampment/village is under self management and is a safe harbor from the mean streets of Seattle.

I think a better question to ask is, what are the restrictions, or roadblocks that can prevent a person or couple from obtaining residency here? There are no real requirements per se, like credit checks, eviction history, income, or whatever else. What they WILL do is run a background check. All they want to know is if you're going to pose any kind of danger to the other residents. Convicted sex offenders will not be allowed in the community and if you've been a repeat violent offender you'll be turned away as well. Safety of residents and staff is paramount and they understand that no one is perfect. So if there's blemishes on your record you shouldn't worry. If you can prove that you aren't violent and show a willingness to become an integral part of the community, you won't have any problems being accepted. The main reason why people are turned away is because the village is at full occupancy and no cabins are available at that time. People do rotate out for various reasons though
Obviously not. Someone once told me, however, that they kick out residents who can't use there, their, or they're properly in a sentence.
