Love Deerfield Woods! Kiara and Shannon are always so welcoming in the office! They do a great job with the upkeep of the complex. The buildings are always kept clean, I recommend these apartments!

Deerfield Woods likes to dazzle you with housewarming gift bags, a pool, and nice leasing office, but do not be fooled as it is all a mirage. There are issues that run deep with this complex and management company. Last summer, a leasing agent who no longer works there told us we’d be getting a fully renovated apartment with brand new kitchen cabinets, counters, & appliances. As well as new flooring & carpet. On the day we went to sign our lease, the guy we had been working with was no longer there and we were told that everything he told us was not true and our kitchen was not being updated. We went to go look at the unit before signing and noticed the kitchen cabinets were in very poor shape, peeling on the inside, and had a heavy layer of dust on top. On the day of our move-in, we discovered that we had been given the wrong keys for our building door and had to be let in by emergency maintenance. We didn’t end up getting the right keys until a week later. During move-in we noticed the washing machine was infested with mold. We told the office staff about it and even tried contacting the regional manager but nobody ever acknowledged our concern. During our first week I went to Kiara to respectfully ask if we could get our kitchen upgraded since we were deceived initially and because the cabinets were in such poor condition. She was very rude to me during this exchange and basically blamed us for not taking a different unit, even though we just found out 2 days before our move-in date and had already changed our address and everything connected to it. May 2022 was the nail in the coffin for us. We discovered an ant infestation in our bedroom. Ants were coming out of a hole in the wall next to our closet. When I told Kiara about it she seemed very underwhelmed and lacked urgency. The bug guy didn’t end up coming to spray until 2 weeks later. Thankfully we took care of it ourselves with traps. But all spring and summer we had issues with bugs getting in (on the 2nd floor!), namely earwigs, ants, and large beetles. I’ve lived at a few different complexes in my life and NEVER had issues with bugs like I did at Deerfield Woods. We were killing several bugs per day. Also the property manager is terrible at communicating and pretty sure she screens phone calls. I suspect this because I called twice about the bugs and it went to voicemail both times, and not 5 minutes after the 2nd call, I got a call back but it was about something completely different and Kiara didn’t acknowledge my bug voicemail. TL;DR Steer clear of Deerfield Woods, and any Beacon Management property for that matter. There are much better and friendlier complexes in the area.
