Very rude. I found a baby deer and the lady argued with me. I am avid hunter and a large animal veterinary technician. I know how it works. I know it’s the wrong time of year. She argued with me that I was wrong and didn’t have a baby deer. She literally laughed at me. Wouldn’t even attempt to listen to me. So I hung up on her. Rude. Really out there trying to help.

Wonderful animal rescue that also admits feral cats from other shelters across the state. The staff here genuinely care about the animals, and their service is impeccable. I had my first encounter with them through Charlie at the front desk. Although she was extremely busy and doing her best, she let me come have a look at some Siamese kittens. I adopted Mercury & Silver a couple months ago and really enjoyed the process of meeting the awesome volunteers like Alex and Scott who put so much care into taking care of these animals. I was scheduled to return for a followup appt for the cats a month after I adopted them and they had not built enough trust with me to get in the cat carrier again so I had to postpone another month. Dr. White spent precious time out of the end of her day to talk to me about my cats and we came up with a solution to temporarily administer Prozac to my older kittens. The volunteer Scott called me yesterday to check in and spent quality time listening to my experience and discussing next steps. This morning I was finally able to trap both of my cats in their carriers and get them safely to their followup appointment which Charlie helped squeeze me into, even though she totally didnt have to. When I got there, the vet tech Lorelei was super sweet and helpful and handled my cats with ease. It's clear that these people have extensive experience with feral cats and I was so grateful that they were there for us every step of the way. It is so much more rewarding to adopt from a rescue, and I would highly recommend Puget Sound Wildcare for their all around amazing service and compassion.

I have brought many critters here (bat, opossum, now a bunny) This place is always open doors to whichever animal or situation. Years ago I was panicked, calling around for help with a little injured animal. I was so relieved to find this place (as budget cuts took most places out over last decade.) The staff & volunteers are nice & knowledgable so I know the critters are getting amazing care! They are non-profit so I am happy to give whatever I can when I leave wildlife in their care! I encourage others to also please donate. ❤

Took in 3 tiny baby birds I found in our yard that had survived a cat attack on their nest and were helpless. The staff was very friendly and professional and I really appreciate the work they do. Would definitely trust any animals I find to their care.

Raccoons can not be trapped and relocated in WA state. Orphaned kits or injured or sick raccoons can be rehabilitated. There are several centers in W. WA that accept them but there are more animals each year than there are places to take them. Please call before you pick them up because many are not orphans and may die when separated from their natal families.
No, we have as many bird cages as we can use. Thanks for asking!
I would give them a call if you haven't received an answer on this. Their # is 360-886-8917
This is not a functional way to ask for help. We have no time to look at the internet to see how wants help but does not pick up the phone and talk to a real person. Why? No one picks up animals and brings them in for care. If you see wildlife in distress, call a wildlife center and ask for assistance and if you can get to them and they have room, it gets help.
Wildlife centers may not give tours, these are hospitals, not zoos. However, most wildlife centers, including ours have educational programming from in-person (pandemic interrupted but back now) to internet for children and families. See our website for activities when the pleasant weather returns.
