Went in with the urge to get back into collecting. Had a lot to learn. Nick, the manager, spent a good 10 minutes talking to me, showing me what's available, what options to consider. He was very friendly and very helpful. Also helped others while we talked. No one was ignored. Will definitely be back when I'm ready to commit.

I have a moving box full of mostly 1988 and 1989, mostly Topps baseball cards. There are also 22 Score A Year to Remember cards, a few round Jiffy Pop cards and other misc. cards. Would you be interested in buying the whole carton?

Unfortunately, we already have a lot of stock of late 1980s and 1990s Cards. Cards during this era were overproduced and there is a glut of supply available so these are very difficult to resell.
Thanks for checking in.
I have a pretty big collection of newer football and basketball cards. Most are numbered and dozens of RPAs. Flawless, immaculate mostly high end stuff. Also have some mem helmets jerseys etc. are you guys interested?

Check eBay and filter to show only sold sales and you can see recent prices. Compare to cards I. Similar condition, if yours are not graded, then only look at ungraded prices

The numbering doesn’t really matter on his stuff. It depends on the size of the photo and the authentication / COA. You can look up similar sized photos on eBay and filter for sold sales. Photos without COAS sell for less.

I have a collection of about 500 cards. Not graded but amazing shape- kept in a binder and sleeves.
At least 20 of each of: Ken griff Jr, Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire, Cal r

If you have a 89 Upper Deck Ken Griffey it can be worth a decent amount. Most of the cards from the late 80s and 90s are not worth a ton. Depending on player, 60s cards can be valuable also.
Also, do they buy cards, and can they point me in the right direction to where I can get cards certified locally? I don’t want to mail a $500 card to Beckett or whatever. Too risky. Im new but do have a cpl valuable cards I’d like to get certified.

We purchase cards, yes. For grading, we send cards to PSA all the time, many of them worth more than $500. There is no alternative to sending them to the grading company right now. Everyone has to do it. We have an order going out to PSA at the end of August and you can submit it through our store
Do they NBA Panini boxes? Not necessarily the crazy expensive ones, like I bought a 2014-2015 DonRuss box from eBay for like $90, it was like 90 cards. I’m a newer collector so I’m looking for boxes that have chances at nice pulls w/o paying tons.

I'm not the owner, but typically you want to have authentication with any signed piece. I reccomend look up the item on ebay and make sure the sold listings filter is selected, that gives you an idea of what the item is currently selling for.
I have a signed football 🏈 by the patriots willie mcginest and coach amongst other players wanted to see the value and possibly sell
Charles Brown | Nov 2, 2020

It's hard to determine value not knowing everybody on the football. Another key item is any authentication paperwork which impacts value. Let us know and we can decide if it would be something of interest to us.

T V | Nov 3, 2019

Thanks for the message. Hockey cards were overproduced in the early 90s, even the OPC premier ones and we have enough stock of those cards. So we would not be interested.
I have an old basketball card collection that's in a album. Possibly 60's and 70's on up players. Where can I get an appraisal and sell them at?
Cmoe Johnson | Nov 3, 2019
Rochester Sports Cards, Memorabilia & Gaming | Nov 3, 2019
We purchase basketball cards. However, they would need to be older than 1989 to consider them or the new autograph and rarer rookie cards. Give us a call during the week to discuss.
Selling signed baseball - in removable case, on wood pedestal - I don't know baseball or players but this is loaded with signatures and I think from the 50's. Good shape. Are you interested? If not, can you please refer me to a source?

We do purchase autographed items and you could bring it by today Wednesday. It all depends on who signed the ball and how the signatures look to determine if we could buy it.
I have football cards from 1978 would you be interested in buying and if so any player that you are looking for?
John Moore | Nov 3, 2019
Rochester Sports Cards | Nov 3, 2019
The complete 1978 Topps set in excellent condition is worth about $50 to $60. There is a Tony Dorset rookie card in the set. We typically are looking for sets older than 1974 for football.
If I had some Magic Cards I was looking for could I send a list to someone at the store and they could pull them for me?
Matt Fluture | Nov 3, 2019
Rochester Sports Cards | Nov 3, 2019
We used to but unfortunately, when we previously did this for everyone, about 75% of the orders were never picked up. So we had to enact a new policy and we will only pull orders for lists provided in store. If there were a few key cards you wanted us to check, feel free to call 248 923-2424 on Tuesday between 11:30am and 9pm and we can let you know if we have them.
Rochester Sports Cards, Memorabilia & Gaming | Nov 3, 2019
I think we answered this on a message also. We would purchase sports cards from the 1970s. We might buy a few select cards from the 80s and 90s but cards were very overproduced during that timeframe and most don’t have much value.
Call us during the week and we can discuss

We send cards out for customers to 2 different professional grading companies and they grade the cards on a 1-10 scale and authenticate them. Pricing can range from $20 to over $100 for pre-1970 vintage baseball cards that are worth more than $500. A phone discussion would be needed to help you further.

Yes, we buy baseball cards from the early 1970s. There are a select number of cards we would buy from the late 70s and early 80s. Call during the week to set up a time to come in.

Our player group for the most part gets along great. We hold events 5 days a week and try to have a more casual, fun environment versus a cut-throat atmosphere . Many players get together outside the store to play or cube also.
As an employee of the shop, I can tell you that we will certainly take a look at the piece! However we typically do not purchase unless there is a Certificate of Authenticity (PSA or JSA) with it
