For $200 a night I kind of expect more. The parking is ridiculous! I paid $16 for the night to park, if I went with the hotel I would have paid $48, that is a ridiculous difference! This part of Portland felt dirty as well, to even check into the hotel you need the door to be unlocked. Once I finally got to my room it was clean and the bed was comfortable but again for $200 a night you should get more.

First thing I did before going on vacation was call The Marriott Portland to ask them if there was going to be a problem with paying with a vanilla Visa prepaid card because I did not have a bank card they said not a problem. so I went and purchased a $500 Visa vanilla gift card for the room . It was not cheap it was $365 through hotels.com when I got there to check in I showed them my ID and the card I used to pay for the room I was the same person that ordered the room on hotels.com but since I did not have a bank card with a chip in it they said I could not check in. I explained that I called ahead of time and asked them if this would be a problem .I spoke to the onsite manager and said but you already took the money out of my card she replied well there's nothing I can do you can't check into the room . So I'm left standing there with my suitcases and wife trying to explain to her that we're on vacation and that was the only money I had she told me I had to take it up with hotels.com they said they wouldn't check me in to the room I paid for. luckily I had $200 emergency money I had to go find a motel 6 that I could pay cash at and wait two days for hotel.com to give me my refund which I received on my way back from vacation this hotel ruined my vacation.

Had a great stay. Great location within walking distance of alot of the sights of Portland and right adjacent to a light rail stop. The reports of Portland being overrun are extremely exaggerated. Me and my family never felt uncomfortable walking around town and in the public transportation. Look forward to returning in the future.

We’ve stayed at a lot of Marriott hotels and have always had the best experiences. However this one let us down big time. We both felt so dirty staying here, especially considering they take 24hr in between guests to clean. The shower had hair on the walls and mildew/mold up above. The bed also had hair and other small debris in between the sheets. The walls in the bathroom looked like they had something sprayed on them and dripping down the walls. The toilet also seemed like it wasn’t cleaned very well and the seat of it wasn’t on straight. The headboard seemed sticky in some places and the chair felt like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time (it looked clean but felt greasy and dirty). The last thing I will mention, even though it wasn’t a big deal to us, was the soaps in the shower weren’t even stocked. They were completely empty. Wouldn’t really recommend staying here unless you’re willing to pay more for a better room, but at that point you might as well book at one of the other, better hotels in Portland (of which there are many).

Valet only, would suggest public transportation or cab/uber to get to the hotel.
Probably. But i would check first. Tell them it's a service animal.
