I checked in late, exhausted and starving. There is no room service and was directed to the bar at which point i was told the cook had called off. The bartender was very nice and offered to cook me a hamburger..i was grateful as anything would have been fine at that point. However, 38 dollars for a vending machine type burger and a club soda is beyond ridiculous. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. Again..however, i don't want the book of Mormon anywhere near me and yet there it is. I'll rethink ever staying at a Marriott property because of it. I did love the r2d2 robot wandering the parking lot.

Be wary! This hotel is known for constantly overbooking! I'm not the type to leave a bad review but I believe it is crucial for travelers to be aware of this. With everything going on with the airlines a hotel constantly overbooking is the last thing we need. My husband and I are frequent Marriott travelers and book well in advance. After our flight got in very late in the evening, we arrive at this hotel only to find out they overbooked and gave our reservation away. The receptionist had an incredibly poor attitude was extremely reluctant to provide us any help, explanation or sympathy. After going back and forth for 30+ minutes, she finally told us she could book us a free stay at their sister property the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel (about 5+ minutes down the road). We actually had a lovely stay at the Sheraton and the staff were very apologetic for Aloft's mistake which blew my mind. Overall this Aloft Portland Airport at Cascade Station's management/ staff need to get organized and fast. In the meantime, I highly recommend you stay at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel because it was wonderful and you'll just end up getting sent there anyways.

The hotel was nice as were the staff. The shuttle for the airport was a nightmare. We found that the staff at the hotel was great; however, the airport shuttle service was awful. Upon arrival at the hotel on March 28, 2022, we asked how we would schedule the shuttle to the airport the next morning. We were told to come down about 10 minutes before we wanted to leave and the desk clerk would call the shuttle. We did just that... Arrived downstairs at 2.50 am, and the desk clerk immediately called the shuttle. The driver said he would be there in 10 minutes. I grabbed a cup of coffee and the clerk and I chatted. Upon finishing my coffee it was very evident that a significant amount of time had passed. At least 20 minutes had passed, and the desk clerk called the driver again. Another 10 minutes. My anxiety was rising significantly because our flight was boarding at 4.30 and we still needed to check in, go through TSA, and find our gate. Additionally I needed wheelchair transport, which sometimes takes time. According to my Google time-line, we finally left the hotel at 3.22 am. And then the shuttle driver went to the Hampton Inn and the Sheraton to pick up more people! My anxiety was hitting peak level by then and again my Google time-line shows that we arrived at the airport at 3.35 AM. This means that the shuttle trip from the Aloft to the airport took us 50 minutes! Absolutely ridiculous. I feel that we were grossly deceived about using the shuttle and your company's actions could have caused us to miss our flight. I am angry about the way this was handled and that your company does not care about on time and prompt service. Despite the fact that the hotel and staff are friendly and nice, we will NEVER stay there again if we need to take the shuttle.

Love this hip boutique hotel! Overall, beautiful, clean, and secure with friendly people. We stayed after flying home from Mexico and we’re able to grab a burger and chicken salad at the bar after discovering nearby restaurants were closed due to COVID. We got a kick watching the new robot “Robbie” patrol the parking lot. Wide selection of snacks and drinks and a nice continental breakfast selection. The showers are divine and there is ample space to work at the desks in each of the rooms. There is also a gym and pool and outdoor lounge area. I was comfortable working in the common spaces - great layout and flexibility. Next time we hope to get in a game of pool located next to the bar.
